Yeh it was a good day, nice event not as good as Huddersfield but still ok. Wished I hadn't started drinking so early, I was tempted to go clubbing with Mile but being an old fart I wanted my bed by midnight after 8 hours of drinking.
Mile, did you get home ok? Left my phone on in case you needed somewhere to kip.
And now we know what PSJ3809 does for a living when we saw his car (snip, snip).
Yeah shame i couldnt drink and stay longer, was good to see you lot. Binman you were funny, mr rock n roll and then once you had that huge chinese it must have sobered you up or you ate too much so you then just wanted to go to sleep !
Was a good day though. Been playing Ghost Castle today ! Need to save it a few times for the later screens as theyre tricky

Some events at the top already, on the upcoming show thread it has a fair bit of info.
Seeing as youre from Manchester this one is close...
"Regular Retro Gaming nights are held at The Lass O'Gowrie pub in Manchester city centre (venue for Console Combat and the forthcoming EuroCon 2010). They take place on the last Tuesday of the month in the Salmon Rooms (which are on the first floor) and begin at 6:30pm. So the next few dates are February 23rd, March 30th, April 27th and so on ..."
The venue was excellent, but it could have done with more people. Quite a lot of people turned up on Sunday (normally the day when hardly anyone's there) and on account on having to drive I lived on J2O. The student union caterers turned up with 1/4 burgers on Sunday :-) Also I beat mel at Chuckie Egg on the Beeb. Mel's excuse is that the Beeb version is different :-)
I got to do more gaming on Sunday than on Saturday. Also scored an Amiga 1200 with a load of games and an Acorn A3010... need to get a mouse for the 3010 though.

If you fidget you're going to have to sleep with him!
Great to see everyone again, Miles, Winston, Madmekon, Steam, Martyn, Mel and Binman. Still love that Divide gadget
Good day, shame i wasnt drinking, the fat boy buffet was good !

I was gutted i couldnt get drunk as i was driving so thats why i was getting pints for everyone else and trying to get them as drunk as poss !
Ha ha ha. Kinda wish we didnt have that chinese now as it helped sober Winston up.
audi tt, nice motor look better if it was me driving it in my leathers and new rock boots
we were having bets as to which car was his in the car park, I expected him to go to the battered 306 it looked more his style
imagine our surprise when the central locking activated on the tt!!!
mind you with a nipper on the way that'll have to go you won't get a child seat in the back of that one (I didn't imagine you saying that did I?)
Congrats PSJ, let us know when the happy event happens and I want an invite to the christening that way I can get the other spectrum bibles signed!!
there's a big retro event coming in November in blackpool, I may even try to get my game finished by then...
Is there a link to any info on this.I Did spot a link somewhere but it only went to a static page no info on it.
Ha ha cheeky git. I drove it round the corner, paid some bloke 50 quid as he let me drive his TT and then drove back slowly in my old mini metro.
But seriously when i drove off i then saw about 8 sheffield lasses with short skirts on, can imagine you lot staring seconds later !
Dont think theres much info yet, nearer the time they'll have a sticky thread here...

How was your hangover on sunday ? ;)
Felt sorry for Mel when he was playing Chuckie Egg and then had that weird keymap bug where it resets back to the menu !
As always ta for bringing your stuff, seeing that divide again makes me tempted as anything !
Good day out on saturday, really enjoyed it.
you were missed, hope you can make the next one in blackpool, maybe make it a family holiday?
although im not sure what will be open in november. :p
Myself and my lass are well up for it...hopefully this time we can get a hotel or B&B and not have to rush home.
Would be pretty cool to get even more WoSsers there and get a huge photo - just basically take over the place!
yeah defo, im up for it, plenty of dirt cheap B&B's that you dont need to book into. just turn up at the door. :)
we should really pick one B&B, so we are all in the same place.
That'd be pretty mad! You'd have to feel sorry for the unlucky B&B owner!!
What about eats? We're defo up for that the next time...
thats the great thing about black pool plenty of pub lunches, greasy spoons and chip shops.
saying that i don't know where the show will be, it might not even be on the beach front. i presume there is more to blackpool that that one road. :p
