    If the Speccy did have FMV games, would they all be this awful?
    That's a truly terrible way of checking for the lightgun, too.

    Hehe..that's pretty cool...

    I don't know the first thing about programming, but I was wondering if you can play these films with music playing as well...would make for some interesting game intros! :)

    It would if this is how it's scanned. But it does seem to rely on you holding the gun very still for a few seconds whilst it does its scanning.

    I've toyed with the idea of getting a +3 gun again but from what people have said it doesn't work with TFTs so it'd be a bit pointless, a bit of a lame duck (shoot). Please excuse the puns :)

    I've posted links to Natxcross's website no many times but it seems a lot of people still don't know about his work. On that same site you can see the work he did with a music clip of Girls aloud. He added digitised audio to each screen frame and made it work. He showed step by step how it was done but no one has developed the idea.
    I prefer monochrome fmv myself and you can see what I did on youtube.com/zxspectrum128. Colour is nice but the result isn't always good.

    Saw your comment on one of my videos on youtube. I would've feeded the avi to Image2Spec, but the problem is that the source wasn't avi, but flv. ;) If you think you can add flv support to your utility, you're my new hero.

    It's true that the Sinclair guns don't work with modern TVs. That's why Nintendo came up with the sensor bar. ;) If someone makes one for the Speccy we can all bring our guns out again!

    Natxcross's demo was just a proof of concept. I'm pretty sure it can be done faster and better.
