VCF-UK - If you're going and staying, book your hotel now...

edited June 2010 in Announcements
Both csmith and myself have had problems today booking hotels in and around Bletchley for the Vintage Computing Festival (19th/20th June 2010)...so if you're planning on going and staying the night (particularly the Saturday night) get your hotel booked soon.

On the bright side this does show there will be a good turnout for the event if the hotels are already getting filled up.

I might be going... perhaps just for one of the days.

The zx81 project I was planning to take is still in bits in the workshop though...

what's the deadline on deciding to come with an exhibit? the website's still a little devoid of information.

I am going and have hopefully booked a B&B - but it is indeed a struggle to find anywhere. Where are you staying Winston?

You can also camp on site if you prefer (although they don't appear to have this on the website anywhere)!

No idea on deadline for booking a stand for an exhibit, email the organisers - they sent me some forms to complete. If you want to put some stuff on my stand, I may have room - I will be selling :-)

I'm staying in the Park Hotel B&B (close to Bletchley Station).

If hotel occupancy rates are to go by, it bodes very well for attendance rates at the VCF.

We are not advertising camping because it is not an open invite to the general public (we can't, basically). Only exhibitors/traders/speakers will be allowed to camp.

If you want to exhibit anything, you need to contact me via the VCF mailbox ideally by the end of the week.

Got your forms back Rich, thanks :-)
