Did anyone else notice Dave copping a feel just before going through the front door of #10 for the first time?

I think that's a benign issue. The only one I can think of is no expansion at Heathrow, but then again I don't fly (for environmental reasons) so some others may not agree with me.

I do fly, and frequently, but I don't think Heathrow should be expanded either for the following reasons:

    * Makes a mockery of supposed "environmental credentials", it really shows them for what they are, the outgoing government simply used them as an excuse to raise taxes. If you want to limit flight growth, you don't have to increase taxes - merely deny any new commercial airport expansion and the problem will solve itself.

    * Heathrow is already an awful airport, making it larger will make it yet more awful.

    * It's not needed. The era of cheap oil is nearly gone, and therefore so is the era of the low cost airline. The predictions of air travel growth are laughably optimistic. Building a new runway at Heathrow is a long term waste of money.

I wouldn't fly nearly so often if the Eurostar wasn't priced at such a massive premium (nor the Isle of Man ferries). I was considering travelling to Europe this year by train until I saw how expensive it would have been (massively more expensive than even a full service high cost airline, let alone the low cost carriers - it seems like once you're no longer in a special group, like a child, or a student, or a pensioner - travelling long distance by train becomes exhorbitantly expensive). Travelling within Spain on the train is cheap enough at least, so at least I get to make the last part of my journey by train.

It's ironic that Nick Clegg was called a 'King-maker' when 'Dave' Cameron is a descendant of a King of England (I can't remember which one right now - too tired).

    Regards,

    Shaun.

Look on the bright side. At least it won't take five years to get rid of Heskey.
I wish.....Heskey has consistently been picked for England team for the last 10+ years, despite being sub-championship standard, if that.

cameron for england squad, and heskey for PM, makes about as much sense as what's going on now.

They're both detestable in their own respective fields.

William IV. Cameron's descended from one of his illegitimate offspring, apparently.
