Indeed! Very catchy too. So far I've found AWM, Kuiper Pursuit, Where the world stood still and Platoon to be pretty good so far as far as AY is concerned. Discovering more gems in this thread!
I like turning on the 'Anthems' option on Auf Wiederson Monty and listening to all the national anthems! Pretty cool.
Vortex Tracker II allow to use any framerate, actually, but you will have to make your own player then, and that's the problem with all >50hz players on ZX, there is simply no easy way to get stable updates with any frequency other than 50hz.
i've noticed there are issues... i was trying to get some machine code going a few weeks back and that was a stumbling block; is there no way at all to detect the end of the screen area, for example?
There was one native AY tracker, Cacofony Pro System, which had 100hz mode. No one cared about, there is almost no music for it.
Well, I wouldn't know - its demo song sounds more than regular and normal.
Thank you for the information, it's most interesting and I will take a look on the program. :)

You can detect begin of screen (frame). This way you can only sync to 50hz or 25hz or 12.5hz etc. However, if you need to update at 100hz or 200hz, you have to detect mid-frame or quarter-frame somehow. You know how many T-states in whole frame, and can wait half or quarter of this time. However, every music player has non-constant running time, and the time can differ greatly (1000 T-states one update, 5000 T-states other). So you have to design constant-time player, and this is not easy.

Yeah, i was guessing that might be the case (i still haven't done anything useful with Z80 yet, stil learning how it works) so thanks for verifying it. =-)

Yes, by some reason they haven't used this feature in the demo song.
