I had a listen of them, not horrible or anything, but I wasn't particularly impressed.
really?
i just love the power and heavyness and repetitiveness of em, but with a sort of bluesy groove holding it all together, proper wig out band i imagine live after a couple of pints :)

A few years ago, I made a couple of "cover" Cd's. Popular or semi-popular songs covered by Metal bands. I thought that a third installment was long overdue, so i'm setting about making another one, but I've got so many cover versions on my PC now, that I really don't know where to start
1-Speed Bike - Pashto Translator Needed (some weird as fuck canadian electronica band with weird disjointed vocals about the war in afganistan, it has song titles like "08 - Taliban! Our Hot Women Soldiers Will Turn Your Women Gay!" and "13 - He Died With Walnut Crunch Crumbs On His Moustache"
AHHH just seen the following "1-Speed Bike is the solo electronic project by Godspeed You Black Emperor! drummer Aidan Girt." thatll be why its quite drummy then :P
lol just found a video of a different song on youtube by em, still weird as hell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL0HZ37jwl4
Anadorei - Pussy Cannibal Holocaust (japanese all female punk band)
Hole - nobodys daughter
Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
2000 - Droopy Butt Begone!
2002 - i am a pretzel on a stealth mission to kill the president 7 inch
2003 - El Gallito
2003 - limp penis mini cd
2005 - someone told me life gets easier in your 50s
2006 - a swimmer in the ocean is not afraid of the rain 7 inch
Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
Dead Confederate - Wrecking ball (AGAIN...on cd this time, just bought it :P)
Faithless - reperspective (remix cd from the special double version of outrospective)
another cd ive just bought...for less than a pound, not bad for a still sealed double cd :P
and another :P
Faithless - Everything Will Be Alright Tomorrow (a stand alone cd of instrumental tracks from the no roots album)
Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
Ten Masked Men - The Ten Masked Men Strikes Back
(If you've never heard the Ten Masked Men, then youmust check them out. Pop covers in a Death metal Style :D The joke starts to wear thin after 4 albums, but some covers are inspired)
Later on, I'll be listening to the new Rhapsody (of Fire) album. I'm not sure if I want to listen to it to be honest as their last two albums were crap, but I'll give it a go!
