Don't Buy This TZX file on x128 emulator

edited May 2010 in Games
I'm runnign this old DOS emulator on my old Win95 PC for Speccy Games (My main XP PC is for work, and bug-riddled to hell).
I've not used a TZX file before, and I'm not sure how to get games off it. I've read the help files with the emulator, but it only seems to find the first game 'Race Ace'. Does anybody else know how to get to the other games in the TZX file? I really fancy revisiting FIDO after all these years.
Thanks.

    eh?

i presume the tzx is a comp? as otherwise it prolly only has one game in it, if it does have more than one game on you can normally use a "tape player" section of an emulator to fast forward to the correct place just like a normal physical one

*thinks about turning his c90s into tzxs lol)

It's a compo, yes (or I assume it is).
I have no idea about using the tape player function, if x128 uses one in the conventional sense.
I select the TZX, and 'unpause' it, then it loads the 'tape'. I have no idea or instrouctions on what else to do...:-?

ive no idea on the emulator, never used or seen it, on the ones i have used spin, spectaculator etc theres a little tape player section (play, record, fast forward etc) normally little buttons at the bottom of the screen or an option to open it in the menus

In the olden days we used to press ALT-F7 to bring up the Tape Browser (only when a tape has been opened) so that you could then set the current position of the tape.

Press F1 to see the list of F-key menus and have a look at x128.txt for instructions.

Look for something related to tapes. Tape browser, tape utils, etcetera.

    From X128.TXT:
    ---------------------
    ALT-F7 - TAPE BROWSER
    ---------------------
This is a shortcut to the tape browser mentioned in the F8 menu.

    -----------------
    F8 - TAPE OPTIONS
    -----------------
    [...]

    * Tape Browser - Lets you see what blocks are available in the current TZX
or TAP file, you can also select a block to play by moving the cursor and
      pressing return.

    So press ALT-F7.

Press up/down on the cursor keys to move to the block you want and press return?
