Hopefully, no news, is Good news, it has been three days now, wonder how things are going ?
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........

    I'm wondering too.
I think I am right in assuming he has an operation tomorrow (Tuesday)?

If so - I really hope it all goes well

But that last post by Mr.Hat was posted last Monday, even though the thingie at the top of the post says 6 days ago. I would have thought that they would be too worried about infections by leaving it over a week, they usually kick you out within a couple of days, even after major ops. Especially after what I presume must have been some sort of blood poisoning or toxic issue. All those pot noodles coming back to get him probably.

I'd be more worried about staying there and getting MRSA etc.. errm I'm sure he's ok.. and Mr french Fries (he did write some very nice c64 games :) ) will tell us soon.

I doubt he gets much sleep, in the sense of you always get someone coughing etc.

Guess he must be on anti-biotics at least anyway...either that or he has eloped with one of the nurses.

Thats a bit OTT isnt it ? Thought that had all died down etc, dont hear much about MRSA now. You'll start to worry about getting hit by a drunk driver walking down the road next !

You look back now to last year about swine flu and it just seems totally over board. The second you coughed last year you got a week off work

you don't hear much about it now.. but well you saw the state of some of the "cleaning" (or lack of) that goes on in some of these hospitals. Also the fact some of this stuff, well is brushed over with this weeks "news"

    I did say , I'm sure he'll be fine...

after what happened to a neighbour I am not overly keen on hosi's... basically he went in WALKING after a crane accident.. they ****ed about so much, he ended up not able to walk / paralysed / dying 2 years later in hospital... AND they wanted HIM to sell his house to pay for the treatment , even though it was due to their negligence.. but his lawyer was like a pitbull and threatened to sue.

But have you been in hospital recently ? Does sound very bad what happened to your friend but you dont hear about many cases like that, overall i think they do a great job.

Been in a few times recently for the wife and theyve been superb, same for my dad who has been back and forth a couple of times lately.

well with the guys treatment, he had to say he wouldn't go to the press / NDA.. so just because you don't hear about it.

I'm not saying they don't do a good job , just it's hit / miss for me.. with various hospitals I know of in my part of town.

as you know yourself all hospitals and PCT's are not the same country wide.. yep the have targets / standards.

yes I have been to hospitals a lot recently with family things.. 1 family member they taped their op for students. So it was good in that sense , as they had a top person in.

Sorry for the delayed update, I've been a little busy.

Jof's first opp has successfully stopped his nad infection. He's sounding a lot better but is still unsure when the second opp to patch the hole in his bladder will commence :(

Fingers crossed he could escape before the start of the WorldCup... Jof would respond with somert like 'football... a load of Poofs!'

    Cheers,
    Tony

I'm having visions of Jof looking like he has just come out of an iron maiden with spurts of fluid everywhere. Lets hope they fix his bladder soon. Good that his nads are fixed - no pics please Mr Bush! Couple of eggs in a hanky indeed...

James Cameron devised Terminator while being very ill with high fever. I wonder what wonder could devise Jof after this experience...

Best wishes mate! Good luck with the 2nd op!

I hope those nurses and doctors hurry up and get him patched up again.

I don't think he'd be able to post about it here ;)
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Thirded ! and Gerald Fourths it !

I always look forward to his random remarks, answers and put downs, silly video`s, and links to funny stuff, he makes me smile and I don`t know of many people who can do that, because I am a miserable git.

Gerald just laughed at that !

    Yeah!

Also, Jof's one of the few survivors who has not turned over the years into a fat, bald, sweaty, self-congratulating, arrogant, tie-wearing, Java-loving, boring bastard.

He already did finish it ! He just didn't let us play with it... :( So - another reason to get out of the hospital soon (albeit a selfish one)).
