    Nope, can't see it.
I hope you let us in on it after people have had a go at working it out :-)

The chick on the right looks suspiciously like the girl from the Game Over poster the one who had her nipple out?

If not I would've said light sabers but there holding them like guns so there's a fail right there.

Maybe a stupid idea, but the robots at the bottom... they reminds me of the ones in Impossible Mission.

OR Alien Highway or Highway Revolution.

I'm guessing the stunning hi-tec and laser effects weren't really that stunning.
  • edited May 2010
    I can't tell you - I've never seen it (it was 1989).

They were actually quite stunning back then, dry ice and all, with the spectacular Tardis tunnel of lasers, but then I suppose we were a little less expectant back then. I should still have my programme from the one I went to, but it probably went the same place as my Radio Times make a Dalek issue. Having said that the acting was not so good, but at least they tried something out to see if it would work.

    Delia composed the music.

    The poster says "On Stage".

A funny thing about it that I have just remembered, before they turned on the lasers, they made a voice-over announcement, " for safety reasons will anyone in the audience who are wearing glasses, please remove them and refrane from using the opera glasses, as we are about to turn on the lasers, and this may result in eye damage ".

Are the daleks being controlled by a ZX Spectrum?

Davros can run a nuclear power plant with a ZX81, you know.

Strangely enough I found my programme for this the other day whilst having a sort out in the spare room. You can see the lasers in full effect in the pic below. I can't really remember much about it but John Pertwee was too ill when I went so we had the understudy instead. Couldn't find any mention of 'Girl from Game Over' in the cast list but could that be her sister on the left hand side of the pic?

You lucky bugger, that was none other than David Banks (The Cyberleader off the telly) in his one and only appearance as the Doctor!

When I saw it, the Doctor was played by Colin Baker. Fantastic show - with Dancing Vervoids!

They changed the flyer for the one I saw, but there was a big poster of the Game-Over girl outside. I spotted it straight away (No nipples tho!)

Wow, that's really spooky - I never knew that and didn't make the link between David Banks and the Cyber Leader. I've just looked it up on Wikipedia and it even tells me exactly what day I must have gone on! (29th April 1989 fact-fans)

http://www.theultimateadventure.co.uk/tour.html also confirms it as it was the last day it was on at the Alex in Birmingham. I just remember being disappointed that we didn't get to see Jon (spelt it right this time!) Pertwee but now I feel like we got more value for money than I realised at the time - not that I paid of course, I think I can thank someone like my mum for that ;)
