TMNT 1 and Turtles in Time

    Golden Axe 1 & 2
    I, Robot
    Mr Do's Wild Ride

    Splatterhouse
    Sunset Riders
Superman (hey, I like it, even if it does get rather samey)
    Tiger Road
    Toki
Vendetta (if it doesn't load properly, hold F3 and F2 and that should reboot the Rom)
    WWF Superstars and WWF Wrestlefest
Xain'd Sleena (Soldier of Light for it's peccy conversion)

As you can probably tell, I've just scrolled down my favorites list in my MAME 32 folder ;-)

there was a games like the speccy Wheelie.. but well dunno what it was called in the arcade..

and double dragon is funny to play as there are bugs in it.. e.g. invisible cliffs (start of level 2) and more.

    I prefer the oldies:

    10 yard fiight
    Galaxians Turbo
    Tetris
Asteroids - I liked all the versions.
Wonderboy in monsterland - probably spent more time playing this in the arcade than any other game in my youth.
Super Bubble Bobble - Still remember the power ups (left up left 1p left fire left 1p) & (fire up fire up fire up right 2p) Do that on the title screen.
Space harrier - Not quite the same as the arcade though, need a hydrolic chair thing.

Can't think of any more without opening mame.

    Gunbird 2
    I,Robot
    Mappy
    Mr. Do!

Star Force (simple shooter with ace sound)
    Thunder Cross II
    Time Pilot

    Penguin Kun Wars !

Have a go at this classic, at first seeing 'cuddley' creatures i thought no no no but its a great 'tennis/sport' style game where the aim is to chuck the balls on your opponents side. Once you've got rid of all of them you win, or if the timer finishes if you have less then you win the round. If its a tie it goes to 'sudden death'.

A right good laugh and quite manic at times specially in the last few seconds when your opponent suddenly chucks tons at you.

If you throw a ball and it hits your opponent it dazes him for a few seconds giving you valuable time to chuck move balls on his side

Sounds odd but its a great game

Which one is this? The one where the characters look like they were drawn by the people who drew Abobo in the original Double Dragon? I think the one with Earthquake not Andre the Giant as one of the final characters? Either one was fun though, me and my mates used to play this a lot around 89-91 :D

Is this the Light Gun game Beast Busters you're on about? Or the SNK beat em' up?

reason I ask is years ago I saw an arcade called something like Mutant Buster, but for some reason I thought it was called either Mutant or Monster Maulers/Mashers?

I'm convinced it was made by SNK, and if not Takara (which might as well just be SNK), but it wasn't a Neo Geo game? I've never seen this game since either, would've been about 1993 maybe? I know you can pick 3 characters on it, it's 2.5D and you fight in a small scrolling arena that lets you go back and forth afaik. After getting rid of a few feebles the big monster pops up? I think one of the 3 characters you can pick has a Chainsaw that looks like a buzzsaw attached to a shotgun, and another character has a flamethrower maybe?

I know it existed but I've never seen it since, not in real life or the wonderous resourse of free goodies known as t'internet?

It did have Abobo-like artwork, but I can't remember who you fought at the end. It always started with Ted Dibiase though (I think) and someone else pretty rubbish. Oh, and it definately had Ultimate Warrior in it, because that's who I used to pick.

Yeah, usually it'd be surround be louts, or blokes trying to impress their other halves. It was great fun though. I'm pretty sure there was a two player mode (might have been another punchbag game) where you take photos of each others faces and then smash the crap out of each other.

The game's probably been banned now, due to kids hurting themselves on it, or something.

Aye it was but even though you can get mouse support for a light gun with games like Alien 3, Op-Wolf/Thunderbolt.

The detection goes totally bollocks on MAME with this game for me, I've had it since about 1999, and still not been able to play the fecker.

Aye it was but even though you can get mouse support for a light gun with games like Alien 3, Op-Wolf/Thunderbolt.

The detection goes totally bollocks on MAME with this game for me, I've had it since about 1999, and still not been able to play the fecker.

I've never got it to run properly either. Every now and then I'll check through various MAME forums to see if anyone has found a fix for it yet, but nobody has. Which is quite surprising really when you think of the number of people who also go looking for help with it too.
