Git your genui-wine Spectrum 48K screws here!

Actually, not here. And they're not genuine, but they fit like a charm.

A seller on Ebay (of course) called rcmods sells Radio Controlled car parts, including 2.6x10 self-tapping screws, in black, which is almost exactly what our rubber key chum uses. The lot number is 300435148980. They're not cheap - ?2 in fact, in packs of 6, but ?2 to fully screw back a Speccy is worth it.

He also sells cheaper 3x10 screws which also fit but are slightly too big and fit flush against the back of the Speccy. They still work, but not quite as well.

There will be other places to get them, of course, but I can testify that these look and feel just like the originals.

Next step is to find replacement +/128 screws!

Clicked on this thread thinking it might be about Google code repositaries, or the Linux WINE project or something... Being tired at the time, I also misread the genui bit as qemu...

    ..feeling screwed...

Actually Dataserve Retro sells original screws and at a good price. Also sells other difficult to find speccy stuff like rubber feet exactly as the originals (if they are not indeed originals).
Got stuff from him many times, very satisfied.

what about screws for +3? i've been looking for those for *ages*, ever since i lost them as kid.
the 2 on side that go into FDD are no problem.
