Erm! Why do I feel like I should've just cooked me curry earlier and gone to bed, now I'm going to be tired and hungover at work and for what a draw against the USA.
Come on people lets not be silly and overreact ! Was a fluke goal by the US, schoolboy error by Green.
If we won 3-0 i wouldnt think we're going to win it all, after this draw i wont get too down. Also drew the first game in '66 and '90 so lets all 'calm down hey calm down ' !

No school boy errors allowed .......it's not the school team.

I'm with you on this one. A daft error by Green but it shouldn't hurt us in the slightest and I'd rather those sort of ricks are done early doors and put down to nerves rather than being crap!
USA are a very decent footballing outfit nowadays and I found it really encouraging that we were picking them apart at will when attacking. Admittedly we looked a bit ropey in defence sometimes (Carra was unconvincing) but we really should have won given the good chances we were creating.
I'm just surprised it made the front page, especially when there's baseball or something going on over here at the min? Talking of which I upset my boss at work yesterday, he was shaking his head at me for wearing a T-shirt with ENGLAND scrawled across the front of it with the flag and the lion. Then he said he hated Soccer, so I said better than Baseball. So he said what's wrong with Baseball, and I said who wants to watch a bunch of gaylords in skintight pants trying to hit a ball away with a stick so they can run around in a circle.
He said at least they don't wear girly short shorts.
So I said have you ever watched a footy match? He told me to "Eff Off!", and went stomping off

I love that old episode of The Simpsons where Homer agrees to give up drinking for a month. So he's stone-cold sober at a baseball match, and says to himself "I never realised how boring this game really is."
They're showing the baseball on ESPN over here ATM. I watched about 1/2 hour of it. Homer's spot on - what a load of boring crap.

*grin*
I found baseball to be an event more than anything. There's plenty going on in the stadium, and whenever I go see a game in the States, the home team always wins. Even the Washington Nationals :)
You really need a decent crowd around you if watching it on TV, otherwise it is quite dull - especially if it's just strikeout after strikeout.

Looks like we have a bunch of links to try now, if we can't get one to work next time. I watched it on my projection screen with my wife and her parents. Kind of fun as it was USA vs England. My two year old son who is 50% English 50% American made me proud though as he threw his grandpa's US baseball cap on the floor shouting "no!" at the top of his voice. He did it just at the right time for maximum comedic effect. Love that little guy. :-)
I have a PC hooked up permanently to my LCD TV...so I stick these streams on full screen and it's just like watching the real thing along with bad reception fuzziness for that analogue signal experience.

We've already lost
hola, por favor
Ended up using a stream torrent and the stream torrent player. I paused occasionally but wasn't too bad.

Here's the headline from today's New York Post. WTF?!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8737289.stm
and watch an interview with him apologising / making up excuses
3 thing wrong with that.
1. a draw isn't a win
2. britain wasn't playing
3. we kicked their arse at bunker hill.
i think mr photoshop has something to do with that. :)
Nope, it's the real thing. It's on the NY Post website: http://www.nypost.com/archives/covers/?dateChosen=06132010
:-o
is the new york post their version of the sunday sport?
I think they're knowingly having a laugh - they're an American equivalent of The Sun after all.
He said at least they don't wear girly short shorts.

Scotland would love to get a draw against Brazil - and the goalscorer(s) would become national heroes.
*grin*

ha ha, i was thinking of the very same thing.
It's also a good example of how when history/events don't suit the Americans they change it up a little...like them winning WW2 single handed.
And The Sun doesn't do that?!
hopefully the americans will get behind their team a bit more now.
it will make it even more sweeter when slovenia beats them 3 nil, and the new york post has to admit they have never heard of the country. :p
