I watched them last year in a summer rock fest, but this year they are playing in the same day as Alice N' Chains (even with the new singer it still sounds pretty good)

Aye, I was a bit dubious about a replacement for Layne, but he does sound pretty good. Jerry Cantrell still sings though too, and he always sounded quite like Layne anyway (well, I thought so...).
Right sod it I'm getting the new Alice in Chains album, I've avoided it since it came out but everybody says it's just as good as the old stuff so I'm finally folding.
Even my pal from work who's a total grunge nut says it's great, and he was dead against it at first.

Well I wouldn't say that is as good as A&C in their prime (and to me, that is "DIRT" and the Unplugged), but it's rather close, and it gives you the confortable feeling that it's 2010 and there is still people doing music with that quality.
and compared to 95% of the stuff that is being published, and in this modern sea of unleastenable Rap, Pop & what they pass as Rock these days, the last album sounds just like angels with guitars!
I hope so,call me melodramatic but I've almost lost faith in music altogether :(
Everything now just seems's like a spin-off, or remake of something that was popular, it's like every art form is due to go full circle. We're almost back at 1990/1 Rave and Indy will make a full comeback and we'll all be doing acid and wearing baggy bottomed jeans and grey hoodies with black medallions
the beatex hairdo will reign supreme again for all of about 8 months, and who knows maybe Inspiral Carpets will make a comeback and we'll all be miserable, also for about 8 months :D

A pile of The Dogs D`amour Lps, I dont recall ever having heard anything from them till today, apart from the name obviously. I have been enjoying them and will look for more from stuff which they have released.
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........
