WOS Holiday.

edited June 2010 in Chit chat
This week I booked a holiday to Lesbos for me and the wife.

That got me thinking, maybe one year we ought to conspire to all accidently on purpose book holidays to the same destination. Then have an impromptu WOSy holiday.

You dont have to tell your wife/husband/partner the other WOSers are going to be there, just make it seem like any other holiday.

It would be a blast.

You know there are some great last minute deals to be had, you could go to austria for ?195 b&b + flights for 7 days. I know they are off season ski resorts but still it would make it affordable.??

What about Butlins in Bognor Regis, that is where Graz takes his holiday every year:p
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........

Who wants to go to Holland next year. I know there are quite a few fans here. We could maybe stop in The Hague afterwards and arrange to meet Martijn for a drink. :)

Yeah effin A you can go to "eat pizza" on your own, I'd rather have the snip than go to that shithole.

But the whole idea a a foreign WOS up sounds very appealing in general

Oh I won't be home this year either, after all the slaver with my ridiculous inlaws I worked out it'd be more convenient to come home next year around about march. If I fail this time I'm cutting my wife off from my wages and telling her to go get her own cash, cos' I'm sick of planning my none existent trip home only to find that she's blew all my savings on Taco Bell and Chinese Take Aways!

Or trips around ****ing Europe that don't involve me as well!!!

last time i went i went with a non smoker, so it was a bit of a pain, you really need to go with people who enjoy puffing all day.

Haha, sorry dude, it wasn't a sly reference to you or anything!!

I definately wouldn't be one of the ones walking around monged outta their face... I'd probably instead be sat comfortably in a smoky cafe monged outta my face. ;)

Haha, weed and Knight Rider. Quality!!

I've heard there's a Pink Floyd cafe in Amsterdam? Or are my mates just talking poop?

Looks like it's quickly gone from a Speccy trip to a smoking trip... Amsterdam's OK for a day or two, but any group will split up within seconds into smoking/non-smoking halves as there are no decent outdoor venues.

If you want to get in something cheap, look in September to see if Thomas Cook repeat the deal where they dropped the surcharges so you could book a room all to yourself at no extra cost, or look up Olympic Holidays, who keep the off-peak surcharges really low anyway. I'm off to Corfu with them, and my ASUS and Speccy emulator will be tucked in a pocket somewhere.

    http://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/PinkFloyd.html

its a great website, gives you a full ma and reviews

thing is though they are mostly written by americans, so they make the places out to be filled with very rude staff. but thats only because american service is super super polite.

as for the crime, it's the same in any major city. if you look at london on a tourist website they will warm you about muggers etc.

i found the street dealers to be very freindly and helpful, the guy i bought off even let me sample his gear to make sure it was kosher.

Hahaha... I'm firmly in the 'non-smoking' camp.

However, I make no such claims for my wife, who you may well believe would be well and truly monged, but I couldn't possibly comment on that. (Note that we'll not just be in Amsterdam... We'll also be in London for a bit, as well as Spain and Germany)...

She wants to make sure she sees her family overseas this year... I can understand that.

Cheers for the info dude. When I've got permanent work again, I'm definately gonna get out there for a weekend. I've always wanted to check it out. And Mexico, I've always fancied going to Mexico, I reckon I'd fit right in over there.

Anyways, I've derailed this thread enough, I best shut up now...
