Yeah, hope he's alright...maybe he's just trying to film as many plates as possible, or is collecting hundreds of youtube vids to post as an epic comeback! *crosses fingers*

Oh and thanks Mr. Hat! You've been doing your best to keep us updated, so I doff my headgear to you! :)

Thanks for the update Mr Hat.

If he's been allowed to go home then surely that is a good thing.

Fingers crossed that we see Jof back here (and on YouTube) very soon. Get well fella.

I have some very bad news on Jof's condition...

I received this mail from Jof's sister today:
    Dear Tony and Deb,

Thank you so much for getting in touch - its a great comfort to know that you care about Jonathan and I know it would mean the world to him. He's in a deep sleep and is fading. He's not got very long now. You can contact me any time and if I'm not at home I'll call you back as soon as I can. I'll keep in touch with you both.

    Christine

In short Jonathan's condition is now terminal! I'll be talking to here later tonight and post any more info.

This is not what we need, poor Joff, let`s all hope that a miracle happens !!!!!!!!!!

I have just found out that another 5 or 6 of the other forum members who`s company I have enjoyed over the past few years, have left or been banned. If Joff goes as well, I may not hang around for much longer myself, a sad day to return, indeed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Aw shit

I didn't speak to Jofa much on here, but he was always off the wall brilliant.

He gave me 2 The Goodies DVDs last year. Hdan't spoken to him much apart from that.

Stop fading and start waking Jofa!!
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

    Thanks for the updates.

Some of us may not know Joff that well, but from what little conversation we may have had with him and from reading the forums, he just seems like a great character and a good laugh.

Agree with the sentiments above, really sorry to read this.

:( Awww, that is so sad. I really hope he somehow pulls through. His posts always cracked me up, great character. :(

    This is deeply saddening news.

I've exchanged some emails and had some banter with him and he comes across as a kooky but caring kind of guy. He's shared some great stories and he's an unmatched source of information and inspiration to us in this weird little hobby.

I still hope at this point that some miracle may yet pull him through. Regardless, my sympathy goes out to his family, who know him best of all.

Horrible news, he told me that he was in a really bad way a few weeks before he ended up in hospital. I just never realised just how bad things were.

Shit... he was a good bloke. Eccentric, but very kind and enthusiastic, and he has a unique legacy for us all to enjoy.

He is a very caring guy he was always interested in my work and very supportive, as Swainy has said, I too had talks with him about how bad he was really feeling on the lead up to this and it was clear that he was very ill. I was intending not to post again, but this is the exception to the rule, as he deserves to be acknowledged at this terrible time. My hopes and prayers go out to him and his family at this time of sadness.
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........
