I don't get what this picture is supposed to be tbh

in BTTF they went to 2015 not 2010

That could explain something. You should tell the police there is a ?10,000 reward you know?

This is the moment that Einstein is sent 1 minute into the future.
Doc must have been travelling before Einstein did and he went to 6 juli 2010.

1985, 1955, 1855, 2015. They are the dates they traveled to in the film(s)

    That pic is wrong.

My kids did see a Delorean, not on Tuesday the 6th, but on Sunday the 4th. It was the day of the 25th birthday of BTTF, and the Delorean was part of the independence day parade. :)

as an off topic aside, I think it's interesting that the month display was faked. everything else is 7 segment displays but obviously you can't do decent looking letters on those, so they've been made of some sort of stencil (you can also tell because the light isn't the same colour, or uniform)

so he goes back to 1885, and busts a fuel line. so why not go find the other delorian in the mine and get the gasoline out of that?

that one wasn't out of gas it just had some elctrical faults caused by the lightening?

    I stand corrected :-o It was indeed 1885, 1955, 1985, 2015.

I have to wonder why they went to the effort of faking it when "starburst" displays (see the NewBrain and various other alphanumeric segment displays) have been around forever (indeed, so long that "starburst" nixie-type tubes were around before LED displays were common)

It's almost like they weren't expecting geeks to be discussing screencaps of it some 25 years later! ;)
  • edited July 2010
Maybe it was cheaper to fake it?

Erm... tricky one that. As far as your theory goes, it's completely sound. But from a story telling point of view, it wouldn't really make much of a film!

can you get those cheaply in red, green and yellow though (as has been said it was probably much cheaper for the prop guys to make a fake one)

or they could just go to the mine and put a note in the car saying 'martry, bring some extra gas.' :-P

the best explanation is that if they took the fuel from the car in the mine then the car that brought marty back would loose its fuel and a paradox would ensue.

You should try programming scrolling LED messages for attract modes as part of your day job sometime. The T in the month is actually fairly easy - just use a lower-case letter, like with R or B. The fun comes with letters like W and M. You either split them over two digits, or avoid them if at all possible, which it isn't if your game name has a W or M in it.
