What's in the sauce? Looks as if it could do with a bit of meat.
Tinned tomatoes, olive oil, bit of sugar, bit of pepper, clove of garlic, chilli powder (in place of real chillis which are much better), bit of basil.
I'm cooking up my potential last batch of onion bhajis before me wife comes home, and I'm probably gonna cook up my last curry tomorrow. She'll be home in a week tomorrow and those who've seen my complaining in the past know my missus hates Indian food with a passion and thinks it stinks the whole house up.
After that I guess I'm relegated to cooking my good stuff outside again
It seems i'm the only person on this site that cannot cook!
I'm going to start learning to cook, sick of frozen food anyway, it's shite!
I'm sure you can cook, just start with something straight forward.. you cook it a few times.. and it becomes like second nature..
have you ever made your own burgers ? thats pretty straight forward to make from scratch AND you know whats going in them. Even boiling an egg.. or making an omelette
I wouldn't say I'm a good cook, but I won't go hungry and the take away rarely gets a visit.
Treated myself to a steak this evening, it was in the reduced item fridge at the supermarket so I fought past the browsers who were sniffing out the bargains and nabbed it. Also added a dab of hot curry paste when I fried the mushrooms..
Probably the best thing I've made so far in this thread.
I'm thinking I'm going to try and make an Aloo Gobi from scratch later on (if I can find any cumin seeds, sure the missus has some somewhere?), and if I'm feeling really daring (roughly translated as pissed enough) I'm gonna try and make some Chapattis from scratch as well. I didn't even realise it but chapattis only have 2 or 3 ingredients they'll be a piece of piss to make (well in theory anyway).

Hey, that looks excellent!
I have to ask about your manly-man brown sauce ... is it a brand-name or of the home-made variety? (if so, then step-by-step instructions please!)
From the looks of things Normski that is what most normal people call gravy, sod what the yanks say they wouldn't know gravy if it jumped up and bit their cock off :D
Try Gold Medal bread making flour......good for Yorkshire pudding and pizza crust too.
You can get it anywhere reasonable, Wallyworld, krogar, heb etc.
I can get it from where I work, one of the most annoying items to stock as well, usually cos' all the spackers on dayshift cram about 4000 bags of the wrong stuff in their place and you have to yank it all off the shelf again.
Naans are my next project for today, gonna see if I can get those to work :D
I guess you're gonna be banned from doing the curry stuff shortly then? Could always set up a 'curry shed' at the bottom of the garden maybe? Actually might get a bit of passing trade . I have to admit, I don't know any other person who actually makes their own (proper) curries.

I have to make my own, there's no Indian Take Aways here, there is one Indian restaurant about half an hour away but it's shite and the food is proper play with you life food.
Of course I'm sorted if I want chinese, pizza, or McDonalds

Careful now - RubberKeys got banned for posting pictures of norks.
...usually the chip shop variety, in fact.

basic food skills like hygine are a must when cooking. :p
Mixing those in various combos with various other things throw in at will = hundreds of combinations.
From bread to cake to pies.
i hope you don't mean fairy cakes.
Only if you carry a handbag, wear guyliner or serve up 4-5 chips for dinner.
...the weight might unbalance the leveling on the trailer.
No I have a moonshine still at each end so it's safe.

No fu**in' chips though you fat git :p
Don't need em' for this meal total Indian bliss.....lovin it.
Did he say 'whole wheat'?.....what a Mary...
You have to use whole wheat or Atta flour, can't get any Atta flour round here, and I wasn't using all purpose they'd have tasted like crap.
