David Webb

Just finished having a bit of a blast on Starion, I wondered what ever happened to David Webb, so I typed 'David Webb spectrum' into Google and got his website up, this guy has obviously made some serious money over the years though not through Spectrum programming...

Whilst looking further for info on Mr Webb I found this interesting paragraph...

'Webb, a self-described onetime computer geek and Oxford University mathematics graduate, is a full-time investor. His holdings, as disclosed to Hong Kong's stock exchange, total at least HK$143 million ($18 million).'

    Damn Melbourne House paid well...

He didn`t make all that from writing Spectrum books did he? haha

Seriously, he certainly has done well for himself, seems to be into some cool areas too, a bit of anti-monopoly talk etc etc

Although all business peeps say their altruistic.

I see that like Sir Clive he has been chairman of Mensa (HK). This was about the same time as Sir Clive was Chairman of UK branch.
The books are really good and I noticed, looking in the front, that he wrote them while at school.

It made a generation who can code...
