Tailors

edited August 2010 in Chit chat
Does anyone get their shirts tailored at all? If so, can you recommend a good tailer?

I have a non-standard torso-length (longer than the average torso) which means that if I buy shirts off the shelf they are either far too baggy, or too short in the body and will not tuck into my smart trousers.

DNA can be a right *bleep* sometimes.

My tailor comes from Thailand twice a year to Holland and I order my shirts there. With my 2.07m I have most of my shirts and trousers custom made.

Me and the wife just recently gave our iron away, it was still in the box.

*note I've never reported a post before so I don't know if it instantly reports it or if you have to give a reason? I hit the back button quickly though, so mods I'd just like to say grey key is innocent. I'm using a touchscreen phone, and I hit the button by accident......sorry :D

Sorry I had to convert 2.07m into something I can relate to. That's just over 6ft 9 for the UK/US readers. That's quite tall!

And remember when you fly you grow an inch so if you do a lot of international travel you might want to bare that in mind.

    No, thank you!

I don't want you baring any of your inches to my mind!

Mods! We have a compulsive inch-barer!

I'm just trying to understand why the hell anyone in their right mind would post such a question to an 8-bit computer forum. Don't you know it's all elbow pads, tank tops and courdroy trousers 'round here?

On the plus side (and at the risk of incurring the wrath of our ban-happy mods...), with your odd-shaped body you sound like a bit of a freak, so I'm sure you'll fit in well here. :)

That extra inch could make a hell of a difference in the right circumstances.
