I quote you word by word ... But I love to read the urban legends and speculations about this game. Do anyone know another game that has his own legends and myths?
Well, Commode fans have similar most wanted game "Duffy Duck" from Hi-Tec, which was completed but have not yet found even one copy, since Zzap!64 reviewed the game in august 1992..
At spectrum, I also have my most wanted game, adventure "Lajavkovo nasledstvo" but with little chance to ever find.
Its ex-yugoslavian game (based on Lucky Luke comic) from which i managed to save only the title screen, but tape with the game has been lost years ago:
What's the story about Toki?
And when are you going to update your blog? ;)
Mmmm its not that interesting, compared to Mire Mare, but it also is a bit of a mistery. There were some screenshots published in some british magazines, but apparently the game was never coded, only mock-ups...but who knows! Its also a myth because the game is very popular and there is also a C-64 version. I loved the coin op, so I would love to have been able to play this game on my Spectrum. And the screenshots look very nice to me.
There is another story with The Great Gianna Sisters!
And about the blog...Im planning to update next week with many entries! ;)
And how is your game going? I am sure that It will appear in my blog in the best games of 2010 :)

Well, judging by the authors and the possibility that the game was written either in Basic or using Quill (even if they say they didnt), I wouldn't really cry if we never find "Lajavkovo Nasledstvo" :) By some people comments that played the game back then it was nowhere near the quality of top text adventures from these parts like Eurorun, Smurfs, Kontrabant 2, Bajke, etc. It was more of a type-in quality....

In that case we saved the best part of the game, great loading screen. :)
For me this game is important mostly becouse nostalgic value, I never thought that she has the quality of a masterpiece like Kontrabant 2.

In all seriousness, Rare should consider actually writing Mire Mare for the new generation games consoles. There are a *lot* of people out there who remember the old Sabre Man games and nostalgia sells.
Wasn't there a sabre wulf game on the gameboy advance a few years back?
