Another...

...help me find a game thread I'm afriad.

It's a spaceship sim thing.

I remember that in one of the lower corners there were 3 indicators that used to measure your distance to the target, they'd count down as you neared and up when you went away. Almost like an hours, minutes and seconds type thing....3 verticl bars with little markers on them that moved up and down. The dashboard of the ship (if memory serves) was blue and green...

I also remember that whenever an enemy ship got close it used to blart out 3 blasts on a siren type noise which caused the graphics to stop momentarily on each noise, then I think you had to dogfight the enemy.

Bit sketchy I know, but I remember playing it without getting anywhere...but I'm trying to hunt it down to play it now and see if I can figure it all out.

Cheers for any suggestions...

Another possibilty - PSI-5 Trading Co?

Apologies if I'm wrong , but it sounds to me (as happens a lot of the time with memories of games) you may be mixing up bits from 2 or 3 different games?

Btw we need to know what viewpoint - was it First person perspective like Elite (I'm assuming it was?) or 3rd person like Ad Astra?

  • Slightly an aside (now that the mystery has been solved!) it's good that this thread has mentioned Codename Matt (well the sequel to be precise). I'm going to have a go on that. I've fond memories of it, even though it involves quite a few keys...

I guess I must've been a cynic from a young age, I'd have took the piss out of you for that when I was 9 years old :p

Now well I don't even think I need to say anything ;)
