I haven't played it much, but I remember a mate of mine was addicted to it. I assume you can speed it all up on an emulator these days? Obviously to get the 'hardcore' experience you need to do it in real time
I play on the DS and you can't really speed it up. Some games have a 20 second first half and a 10 minute second half. Perhaps even longer. It's like a Man united game where injury time goes on and on!
I loved this BITD and completed many seasons winning most things IIR. I can't remember the matches being that long though...maybe I was just so wrapped up in it all I didn't notice. I do remember that sometimes the match would be just one shot at goal and that's it! I've got to dig this one out again I think...
I still prefer the first footy Manager. I've got the emulated version on my
phone and have been playing it on Novice level for a while now. Expert level
was a little bit toooooo hard me thinks!
Software star was really good too.

I remember I used to sit up all night during the summer holidays getting through 5+ seasons in a sitting...many memories...
How did you manage that. I spent an hour today playing about 6 matches!

I hear Kevin Toms is remaking it for the i-phone?
The original may be as shallow as a puddle but it's still the most fun footy management game on the speccy.
...I was much, much younger back then!
