There are very posh Notting Hill bits lets be honest, but they tend to stay behind their gated communities. They swarm during the antiques market of a Sunday morning. They use too much poetic licence these TV and film producers, have you noticed in East Enders how the real ruffians and gang members all seem to come from south London, what is it, the Bronx? I'd much rather have a pint in Camberwell than East Ham :D

[Dons pedantic hat] Millwall is in east London on the Isle of Dogs [throws hat in bin] :D Any hoo, you have to say that south London has some wonderful areas like Greenwich Park and Blackheath. I was dragged up in the east end near Canning Town, so I know a shit hole when I see one :)
I haven't seen this show yet, waiting for it to be on catch up, but, Notting Hill, an area I know well having been to school there, lived there for six months and finally worked there for two years.
Someone made the comment about crazies, when I worked there and used to go out for a cig break, sometimes one of the tramps used to be sitting on the steps outside the office, chatting away on his mobile phone!

Yeah, greenwich and Blackheath are very nice places. I used to love the Sunday market at Greenwich. I used to be able to pick up loads of old bootlegs and promo cd's and the atmosphere was great.
The last time I went though was a real let down. It had all changed since they built the DLR extension and it was all branded shops and trendy places. The old Sunday market was almost gone too.
just had a run in with the film crew.. that **** malcolm was on my road yet again revving the s*** out of his car.. 2 times.. easy over 100db
maybe they will attempt to show me giving them what for if it was filmed or the audio was recorded.. if they do, legal action.. as I didn't give em permissionto film me
and some gobby bint (his **** girlfriend) calling me a tw@ ... "nice" new neighbours.
I had a mate who used to live in Hackney, he used to get chased walking home at night from his work by gangs of black guys! He said it was very rough area. He had to move out because of the violence - so he moved to Croyden!

Every time I've been through Notting Hill it's been full of tramps, crazies, and big scary rastafarians trying to sell me the "Biggest Shoe" :D
....and the Subway across from Notting Hill Gate tube station gave me the Garries as well
Millwall's arguably worse than the bronx!
but it just "annoys me" it's got a bunch of hooray henry's on it that aren't even from the area.. or have been there 5 minutes..
the hairdresser in it has been there for years though.
