Mad Dog McCree

edited October 2010 in Games
I remember seeing a small bit in an issue of Retro Gamer a couple of months ago about someone trying to convert Mad Dog McCree to the speccy. It said about them trying to use newly made technology and had a screen shot.

I've had a quick look, but can't find anything else about it. Can anyone shed any new light?

Use google to search for YS3. It's in one of the entries by natxcross.
  • I played the Wii version and it was terrible.

Well you can't expect the Wii version to be much better than the arcade.

    .....which was terrible :D

Finally home so I can type a proper reply (browsing WOS on a small mobile is terrible).

    Just go here:

    http://www.ys3.org/

Keep in mind Nathan did that as a test.
I wish he would stop by more often. He and a few others including me have this thing for digitised video on the Speccy!

I'm the minority who thought Mad Dog McCree was a fab game! Cheesy, bad acting, but fun!

I soo bought the Wii version when it came out! :D

Mad Dog is great at the arcade - and I still wanna get my mits on the 3DO release, though I expect the Wii version to be pap. I remember the Speccy one. Very ugly, but very clever. Not sure where I saw it though.

The Wii version isn't too bad. Since the Wiimote is different technology to the original gun, it means you're not getting flashes of bright white on your screen all the time.

Plus you can cheat on the fast draw sections too! :D

I never understood why they didn't make a virtua cop in the west... that would have been the game!

    That's brilliant! Thankyou :D

I looked on Youtube, but I couldn't find it. I'm amazed it worked! It obviously wouldn't work as a full game, but as a small demo it's really impressive stuff.

I too have this on the Wii. I don't play it much, but the last time I did, i got near the end of it, but couldn't get past the people leaving the hut.

I played Mad Dog McCree and other American Laser Games on my PC, using the mouse instead of the lightgun, and it's really fun :) But for Speccy...hm...I really don't know...
