Controversial i know but i loved Mario Kart on the GBA, wasnt keen on the SNES version. Was great when it first came out but the amount of laps was too long and the second you get in the lead the 2nd place person just bombards you with tons of crap.
Still all these kart games are great with 2 players
The worst thing about Mario is knowing that whatever dumb game Nintendo Makes for him (it could be Super Mario Jail Rape) Sega will do a copy of it for Sonic...
Why won't somebody tell them that the war betwen the two companies ended 4 generations of consoles ago?
Hmm, maybe you haven't noticed, but Nintendo now owns Sega...

No they don't. Sega are owned by Sammy, a company that makes Pachinko machines. That said, given that they're now making crossover games featuring Mario in partnership with Nintendo, it's fair to say that the war is very much over.

I would say that the original SNES SMK was the only one to get the weapons system more or less correct. Every version since it seems to give the players behind the leader whatever weapon is required to slow them down - especially that effin' blue shell. The original was a lot more random with the weapons it gave you unless you knew the cheat to get a red shell nearly every time!

Erm, Metal Gear Solid? Final Fantasy?
Patrik
Neither of which are Sony-exclusive any more.
Nintendo does not deserve all the flak it gets for re-using old franchises. A good example would be Bungie deciding they want to step away from the Halo franchise... oh wait, we'll put out ODST... and then Reach... and then Microsoft announce that someone else is taking over to make more Halo games. Gee, that's being original.
