  the first covertape from the mags u mention, Rasputin, a demo with the 1st issue of Your Sinclair, had a tape box, but for some time after that you just got the cassette with a cut-out inlay inside the magazine.
  
  As the covertapes got more serious, boxes appeared and even double boxes with some of the christmas issues. AFAIK they were always attached with sticky tape which was a pain if you wanted your cover intact :evil:

  Anyone know if they were attached with tape if you had a mail order subscription, or was it just a shop thing, to stop people stealing them. I also remember buying magazines back in the day, and the cover tapes were kept behind the counter, and they gave it to you when you bought the mag, although can't remeber if there was tape on the cover.

  I'd left speccy by that time and the first tape I recall is the zzap sampler, very first one.

  I've got about 6 Rasputin tapes..:lol:.....and only one of them actually loads!
