A couple of years back, a guy I had known since I was seven got married. Trouble is, he never told me and I only found out a few weeks before when my mum mentioned it! I was surprised but didn't think more of it until I got there and found that the "private ceremony" that preceded the after drinks reception I was invited to had in fact included just about everyone else. Later I found he had told my brother many months before but also to "not tell anyone"... meaning me!
It's fair to say I was a bit upset by this. I haven't seen him since that wedding night. Three days ago, I got a text from him giving me his new number. Was it a general text sent to me by mistake, or is he testing the water, trying to get in touch with me again? I don't know what to do...
Actually, when I asked him why he hadn't told me, he said he had sent me a text many months before and thought I had got it, but it must have been a bad signal so I didn't. Since I didn't bring it up myself as a result of the "bad signal", he thought I wasn't interested, and decided never to mention it again.
For goodness sake! Even the scriptwriters of "Home And Away" wouldn't use a misunderstanding like that
Not being sexist BUT over the years i've known a lot of girls have silly silly falling outs with friends who they then avoid forever. I mean loads ! My wifes like that, if her mate hasnt called her for a week or two she'll then give her the cold shoulder and avoid any calls ! Women seem to fall out tons over petty things ! Blokes overall dont seem that bad (unless it involves a girl !)

Thats what I got too! She said that she had no idea how it happend and that she found out about her starting a relationship with him when she saw it plastered on facebook. Don't get me wrong, but doesn'tit take both partys to change a relationship status? Frpm what I understand, they agreed to see each other for sex, but she isn't ready for a relationship yet. She's told a few people that she likes him though. I really don't know what to think anymore? They were seen in town hand in hand too, but 'shes not ready'?
That's bollcks if you ask me. Put me down for being a lonely bastard for quite a while longer to :-(
Well, they are going for a date on Saturday. I've still been talking to her all week and it looks like it's already off to a bad start. Her ex is living in the same building and is a mental case. Her pet Ferret is ill, so she's said that she may not go out with him cos she'll have to stay in with that. His ex is letting see his kids that day for the first time in ages, so he may cancel too. There's alot of baggage there and i'm kind of glad i'm out of it.
Having said that, I did wish him all the best for the date as I left work. he believed me too....damn I'm good :D
That is the best excuse for pulling out of a date I have ever heard, it beats the washing the hair one.
I've had both of those excuses off her in the past too. One time she wouldn't come out because she tried to dye her hair blond, but it went orange and she refused to leave her flat for 3 days!

I'm sure they nicked that out of a Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comic...
...to waste on friends who let you down :p

I thought it was some sort of euphemism when I first read it...
