The only shite my wife likes watching is True Blood (very iffy/dodgy vampire series,) otherwise she's okay.

My missus is awful she can juggle about 15 TV series at once, whilst waiting for the next one in a series to come out she can watch another 5 whole series.

She's eased up right now, but at one time she was juggling Dexter, Nurse Jackie, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anantomy, True Blood, Big Bang Theory, and I know there were more.

Drives me mental when all I can hear is those bloody shows while I'm chained to the PC because I can't use the TV to play some real games instead of bloody clicking my life away at this desk.

To be fair she only watches her shows when I'm asleep at the min cos' there's not much on, and me and her have been watching a lot more stuff together, like movies and cooking shows. I'm just dreading when the new seasons of the next 400 shows start, because then the torture starts again, and it's back to playing Megadrive games, getting bored, playing SNES games, getting bored, Playing Neo-Geo games, getting bored, playing MAME, getting bored, and so on. Then sitting in front of WoS for the rest of the day hopelessly clicking the new post button in the hope that somebody posts something interesting, so I have something to do other than idly stare at the monitor, until I'm too drunk or tired to stay awake.

They do it to avoid talking to their men and get some actual peace instead:smile:
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........
  • i've compromised since my missus moved in...

i've got her into everything i watch:

    two and a half men
    house
    24
    lie to me

apparently it's not allowed for you to make comments on how "biffa" tweedy doesn't like people from foreign lands...

I have a simple solution. Stay single! I can watch what I want when I want, listen to music when I want, spend as long as I want on the PC....it's total bliss :)

Well Glee is aimed at a younger audience than most of us, i dont know any of my mates 35+ who watch it. But on the other hand i find it strange adults watching Dr Who or Harry Potter !

Over the years these X Factor style shows have always been popular. I remember the 'original' Simon Cowell - Nina Miskow (sp) or something. Remember a talent show i think on ITV where they had judges all being nice and you wanted to say 'what the hell are you saying ? theyre terrible' and she was quite brutally honest.

If i'm at my folks X Factor seems more of a 'family' show, same with strictly come dancing (dont watch that though), different generations all seem to like it.

But i just love the way they build up this young star, milk them for everything on their first single and a fair few times then just make them disappear.

Still think its okay to laugh at the numpties who spend 12 hours queueing, who's parents said 'yeah you have a good voice' and then when you hear them they are frickin terrible and need a 'Cowell' type friend to say 'dont bother, you sing like a cat in pain'.
