it's like the stupid signs on the road and adverts on telly that say "SPEED KILLS" bollocks does it. I've been in a 747-400 cruising at over 550MPH and I'm still alive...
I guess RAPID NEGATIVE ACCELERATION CAUSING IMPACTS WITH SOLID OBJECTS KILLS is too big to fit on the sign...
And this is how you practise to get the balancing skills to stand on the top of the lighting beacon (note how the guy was just standing on it, not holding on... until he clipped into the antenna...)
I suppose it would be like trying to stand on a stool in a carpark on a windy day. Very possible and not too difficult. However, because of the height you are psychologically disadvantaged and therefore need to train your mind to let you do it unhindered.
It's similar to one of the skills of riding a unicycle. At first your brain tells you you are going to fall off, this makes you flail your arms and legs and then fall off. It takes you brain quite a bit of convincing to not move your ams or legs, but to just pedal a bit harder.
