Wanted a couple of broken 48k speccys

I would like to know if anyone has got a couple of broken 48k rubber key speccys. All I ask is they are complete - no missing rom/ram/transistors etc., at least one looks in good condition and at least one working power pack between them.

I need some back up spares and feel that there are probably one or two people here who have far too many speccys lying around waiting to get serviced :)

Can anyone help? On ebay the going price seems to be approx:

?6 postage
?10 hardware ea - Worked when I put it in the loft 25 yrs ago (honest guv) so I see no reason why it won't... blah blah blah

Given that "I know these are broken" I would be happy to pay (paypal) ?25 for both posted - or make me an offer.

    If you live anywhere near Durham UK you can have a couple for nowt if your willing to pick them up. I don't have time to post them tho. :-)

    you don't 100%.. I have a lot of spectrum's (from buying games).. some of the time it's simply a case of the person doesn't know how to set it up etc.

    Some people do blatantly lie about it, but they are obvious to catch out and thankfully in the minority

    others will be honest and say they don't even know how to set the thing up (I had to tell someone in the case of a 128 )

    Im always on the lookout for busted up speccys too, get two, try to make a good one out of them, got two broken (?) ones coming this week, always interesting to see whats what when they arrive!
