'Tis the season, so what would you wish for?!

The missus is complaining that I'm a nightmare to buy presents for! (I reckon she's a nightmare too, but she just says to go round Selfridges for a couple of hours and buy her "nice things" - I still think I'm right and so does the bank manager)

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody had any ideas what I should ask for, within the bounds of reason and sensibility!

I can't see any new software from Cronosoft and I've already bought a divide interface this year so am a bit stuck... Failing Speccy-related stuff, what is everyone else hoping Santa brings them? :-)

Socks. I love to get a new pair of socks for Christmas as it always feels good to put on a nice new pair of socks.

I am also after Wii Goldeneye, one of those 2000AD collections from Rebellion - either Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog or Sam Slade - as I think they look like a fun nostalgia trip to read over xmas.

I am also interested in the new Orange Juice anthology box set 'Coals To Newcastle'. The only thing that puts me off is all the bonus tracks as bonus tracks on CDs really irritate me - especially if they are in the middle of the CD. I like the way the beatles did their mono box set with no bonus tracks and the packaging just like the original vinyl.

Some nice booze like a posh wine is an easy one to pick for a relative to buy.

Well my main prezzie is a PS3, which I chose to make my prezzie. I've said before my wife said I could have it when it arrived, but I told her "No wrap it up for christmas".

So other than my new toy I'd like some Brown Ale, or Guiness Export (they've just started selling that at my place, I picked some up in Dublin in 2006 and it tastes like guiness, but it really ****s you up after a few bottles :D). Since I live in the US what I'd really like is some more Brown Sauce, and a case of Irn-Bru as well.

Maybe some Pickled Onion Monster Munch

You could go for an Android tablet.

Or maybe an Arcade Machine this from ebay. Some are ridiculously overpriced, you should pay no more than ?200. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Old-Space-Invaders-arcade-machine-/160515318124?pt=UK_Video_Games_Coin_Operated_MJ&hash=item255f75616c#ht_500wt_1156

You're mistaken. I ordered her first.

([All this meant in jest; you don't know on here lately] )

Really??? You've got a PS3 for Xmas? You've not mentioned it.

[Is there a Youtube post replacing the classic Young Ones "Oh, you've got a video?" with "Oh, you've got a PS3?"]

Dont want much. I've asked the missus for the Walking Dead graphic novel (The big compendium one) as i really enjoyed the series. Getting the Wire boxed set and a few clothes

Asked my mum for some Pretty Green shirts (Liam Gallaghers clothing range), she went into Selfridges and asked 'have you got any pretty green shirts ?' and a camp assistant said 'no madam but we do have some lovely blue shirts as you can see....' (sigh) (Totally true by the way)

    Socks ??!?

Anyway the 2000ad collections are superb, the early Judge Dredd ones are a bit basic, a bit like 'hey kids dont turn to crime' one parters, once the big epics start it really takes off. The Strontium Dog collections are superb, have all of those as well, theyre excellent.

Put the first Harry Potter movie on and then look at her.

Remember how old you were when that movie came out.

Still wanna shag her, or are you thinking a cold shower may help now ;)

You could say the same about Natalie Portman in Leon. I wouldn't mind a go now ;-)

I'll be grateful if the guys taking the render off the back of my house at the moment leave some wall behind them and then get it watertight for Christmas! Trying to work on the other side of the drills I'm not hearing too many pleasant noises at present.

Yup that's a bit creepy, but I was only 16 when Leon came out so it's not as creepy for me ;)

For my sins I had to attend a "Maths Inspiration" event yesterday where they mentioned the formula F=M/2 + 7 for determining a younger partner's ideal age!

I currently don't have any relatives/friends to share christmas with or to buy me presents, so I treated myself off of ebay...
Got the remainding couple of models to finish off my Lego M-Tron/Blacktron collection- Reminders of my childhood, now proudly displayed in my living room in glass cabinets- Still a kid at heart!

Both those sound good - haven't thought about 2000AD since school!

When I was in New York earlier this year there was a shop near Central Park that sold fancy razor handles. I'd quite like one of those, but don't know how long I'd be able to get blades for before they changed the interface!

Dear Santa, i would like for wikileaks to just disappear, all of them to get normal jobs and start grassing up any government official and the news to stop mentioning them and go on about some postman stuck in the snow in Wales etc

The snow's not news anymore since it's melted in London.

Blimey - tempus fugit and all that, eh?

Seems a bit weird to resurrect this old thread but what's everyone wishing for this time around?

The Mrs asked and I said I couldn't think of anything this year. Must be happy!

Either that, or I've already splashed out on everything I could think of! (Spectranet, keyboard membranes, signed up for a Harlequin...)
