Another dodgy eBay Speccy CD....
Hi folks,
Seems eBay don't care about these CDs at all and continue to let them be sold.
Poor Vaggelis's ZX32 emulator seems to be the most ripped off despite his distribution policy:

I've e-mailed the CD sellers before kindly reminding them of the harm they could be doing, but to no avail in most cases, some appear to be oblivious to it all. I've NOT reported them to eBay but I know others have yet they still remain...

I guess publishers that deny distribution from WoS wouldn't apply to individuals really, as we were denied in response to a request. I mean apply in the sense or ignorance that they don't know ?
Any ideas ?
Cheers
Andy

And regarding denied distribution games, I regularly see a CD in the shops that has a Knight Lore screen shot on the back.
But if u read the small print it states that the games shown may not be included" and I didn't fancy spending a tenner to find out.

Wonder how many TZXs would spring up on these discs if I asked the sellers to do a sub-string search for my name and other fellow preservers.
While I own no copyright, am I allowed to ask these sellers to remove anything that I took time over making (i.e. the TZXs ?).
Bah, I guess one of the sellers is right, I'm just jealeous that I'm not selling them and making a (small) profit off other peoples' backs. Wouldn't even consider putting back into the community to help ?.....
Anyway, cash is drying up, preservation is slowing down.... people just wanna leech so I'll just crawl back under my +3 :)
The End .................
preservation slwing down... seriously? affect of more things been done, stuff harder to find? or the cash thing?
Im wanna those that`s said he would help the preservation effort with money (twice i think ive said) but still hasn`t yet... perhaps I need duffin up? haha (stops laughing cos this is seriou)...
*_+
Oh and aabout any efforts you`ve made, course your allowed for stuff you`ve done not to be included, but like their already braking that many laws (including having any ethics or morals) you`d be pi**ing in the wind... far as ive seen with when you guys send emails you either get abuse or `sorry i didn`t know i was doing anything wrong`... which is worse, cos the least theycan do is be honest and give you some bleedin` grief... so you can tell them what a horrible little snivelling shite they are and that we`re all gonna duff them up...
OH ! where not gonna duff them up, OKay, gotcha....

Maybe then the users/members who haven't got any games that are MIA/STP can still contribute to the cause.
Possibly also have an acknowledgement page for monetary contributors.
It may not bring a lot of cash but maybe enough to cover the occasional eBay auction/ACE & HSM purchase.
It wouldn't hurt not to anyway....

Jon.
Maybe it could be placed somewhere a bit more predominant?
(Hint: while the Preservation team is also working for WoS and kindly allowing their proceedings to be hosted here, it's not WoS that is in need of donations - apart from the kind uploads of course)
