Good Games in the bottom 100?

edited October 2004 in Games
Looking at The worst 100 games as voted, I was looking for games I actually liked. Most of them I didn't know, but at least one served me many fun hours! That is "One on one". Thinking about it, it wasn't technically much of a game, but I liked it anyway. I liked the dribbiling moves mainly.

What other games are there that you remember fondly?

Aw! You can't have the Pathetic Pablo Bros in the 'worst 100'! It's just not right!

Oh man, there are some really horrible gaming memories on that list. Superman belongs in the top ten!

Where is 'Play For Your Life'???

every game on there that I've played pretty much belongs there.

Well, it seems I had three of those on real tapes.

Dr Franky And The Monster and Jet Set Gertie were both on the now-legendary 90-odd games compilation (surely we have to give that a proper title sometime!). JSG never had a proper release. And the third? Asteroids Ahead!, which was a ZX Computing type-in!

Since then I've also obtained Jack And The Beanstalk and OK Yah!, both on the grounds that I had to see exactly how crap they were.

And reading the various reviews, I see one of those that scored 1/10 was written by a 14-year-old. Harsh...

Am I dreaming or is Sqij actually unplayable? There appears to be no controls. I've tried Issue 2 and 3 keyboards, and all the joysticks...

It was originally on a Spectrum Computing tape magazine (though I suppose that probably doesn't count as a 'proper' release).
I have the Argus Press 30 games compilation, where it also appears along with a few others from Spectrum Computing.

Jack & the Beanstalk is undoubtably being voted down on account of being so bleeding hard !

By the way, if people REALLY object to games being in the bottom 100, why not vote them up ? Give them a vote of, say 80% - that'll probably move them out of the bottom 100 !

Hey, I have an idea for a thread. Say thanks I asked your opinion before starting it: "Crap games in the top 100". How about that?

Ah - The infamous '30 Games' compilation - I still have the C64 version and wince every time I look at the details - One good point is that the Taskset games are included on that version - The only saving grace!

I actually like One on One too :D
Seems I have to help this game a little by voting for it, as I forgot to do that actually...

I had the same problem so I posted to CSS about it (e.g. this post). Remarkably, you actually have to BREAK into the game and turn off the CAPS LOCK before it'll work properly!

Wow! There are 71 games worse than The Great Space Race!

I looked through the list and I personally don't think that 'Flak' and 'Alcatraz Harry' belongs on that list :)

This also goes for Jack and The Beanstalk, just because its a classic and the graphics facinated me back then :)

I noticed that Peter Shilton's Handball Maradona never made the list.

    Crikey o'blimey! CRAP!

I reckon some of the CCSCGC games are better...

I was always a bit partial to a game of Bounces. Alright it was repetitive, but certainly not one of the worst games I've played.
