K-Mouse

edited December 2010 in Sinclair Miscellaneous
OK, Got the K-mouse with the video out and on my old wide screen
tv it looks ok, very liney. Maybe something to do with the very thin video
wire you get with it, Should i get a better quality one? or wont it make a
difference.

Anyway, Plugged it into my LCD tv and all i get is B/W picture?

What am i doin' wrong! ARGGHGHHGHGH!!!

Velesoft may be able to throw some light on this, but my guess is the quality of the cable - mind you how much difference can there be in a simple composite video cable?

as for the black / white.. maybe it's the 50 and 60 hz thing with SCARTS and S-VHS.. dunno if the same applies to composite..

how is the cable.. does it stay composite or changed into a scart ?

I had the same trouble with a C64 cable until I messed with the telly settings, faffing around with the different PAL modes resolved the B+W issue in the end, maybe worth investigating?

My Speccy displays in colour on my Toshiba LCD TV via the K-Mouse. I just connected it to the yellow video input socket on the LH-side and selected external input 2. So I'd expect that it's just a matter of getting the connections & settings set up appropriately.

I've tried a different cable for comparison, and there was a slight improvement in picture quality, but not of any significance. I get a stable picture of reasonable quality with the original cable, whereas before I got the K-Mouse I couldn't get any usable picture at all via the old TV input.
