Im still living in 1976 when the summer was as hot as hell and the women didnt ware much left for the imagination  Times were better then, no portable phones, kids could play conkers, sledge on their own in the winter and everyone had a catapult. There was no Health and safety that took all the fun out of life and never made everyone live like robots. Were is this country heading, I dread to think.

school is an odd one, I wasn't the cool one.. but I wasn't the one that was metal or got 7 bells kicked out of. I do meet the odd person now, it's funny.

You meet some people from school who where the top of the class, then when they go out into the real world,i found some lost the run of themselfs and became stoners/hippies :???:

. it's a bit like why avoid facebook.. why the heck would I wanna talk to / get back into contact with someone who acted like a total **** back in the day

Strange but a lot of us from high school (82-87) have got together on FB over the last year,i was a hyperactive kid even in high school (is it called secondary now?) i was always f*cking about and the people who have refused my invites but accepted other requests with school mates are the ones who remember me being a d*ck at school but do not have a clue about me now, obviously people can change especially when the distractions from school have gone or simply mellow out as they get older.
Yes its also a chance to be nosey there is that too,but i personally try to dwell on the good things in the past not bad so i would even walk upto a guy who used to be a bully at the school and shake his hand because a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and we have all grown up. :-)

Agree with that, some of the idiots from school (loudmouths, 'bullies') have all changed, same for some of the 'squares' back then who were only into D&D, not into girls and were super smart and carried briefcases, now theyre the total opposite.

I'm not in touch with anybody from school now, and quite frankly I'd like to keep it that way, let's face it most of them were dicks.

There's nothing worse than bumping into someone from years ago and having to have that "How are you doing?" fake smile conversation, just ****ing leave me alone you weren't my friend back then stop pretending to be one now and piss off.

    simple as :D
