I really like it, its a mix of the original V, They Live and Phantasm from the other episode. Shame theres just 4 episodes until a huge break because of the Winter Olympics.

You forgot the Independence Day bit at the start (which they do acknowledge!).

Did anyone else notice references to other sci-fi shows? I noticed that the address of the warehouse where the sleeper cell meet is 4400... The priest was the lead character in The 4400.

Well I have to say I'm hooked now! Just watched the latest episode, and things are starting to really come together - on both sides (humans and Vs). :D

Yeah i'm enjoying it a lot, look forward to every Weds to see the latest episode. You just know next weeks will have a HUGE cliffhanger as after episode 4 we have to wait till April for the next one (Theyre delaying it because of the Winter olympics)

Well, the second series is shaping up quite nicely!
    Spoiler:

Just watched it today, I dare all the haters to say it's crap now! This second season is having to pull out all the stops due to a bad start and schedule with the first season.

I really hope this isn't one of those series' that goes a while and vanishes, if it goes full circle I'll buy the DVD's, if it doesn't then no I won't.

They stopped showing it on terrestrial, so I've given up on it. Half-way through season one and it's got soooo boring. Shame as it started off okay. Remake needed.

After a good start i thought Season 1 went downhill very fast. Just watched episode 2 of the new season, good to see a familiar face from the 80's series but i dont know, some of it is still poor.

Anyway episode 3 people seem to be raving about so i'll watch that later. Still stunned its back for season 2

episode 3 was awesome. Had that original V feeling of some sort... best episode so far :) Loved it. Hope they keep it up and if they do, hope there is season 3 of it.

I totally agree with this. Episode 3 was a stonker of an episode, and I really do hope they keep the momentum going with this!

this is interesting. I feel I laboured long and hard watching series 1 and was thinking of not follwing this up - but will watch at least the first 3 episodes of series 2 and see where it runs from there.

    Well they've cancelled it!

    Surprise Surprise

pity, I had been hoping for its return...

While the first season was slow it was thrilling - the second season on the other hand was more than I could of dreamed for, with Cameos of Mark Singer and Jane Badler I was entirely enthralled.

Well, I'm glad they've cancelled it. Now they can start again and do it right. Remake please.

    A 3rd series of Survivors f'me please.

    And while we're at it...
A 2nd series of Invasion (even though the first one was slllllooower than V)
    A remake of Battlestar Galactica.

    But most importantly...
More Walking Dead. WHY JUST 6 EPISODES IN A SERIES?! Whaaaaat?!

What!?! Surely not, it's been a great series and is getting better all the time. Here's hoping that decision gets reversed sharpish.

Awful show based on a stupid premise. Only marginally less rubbish than "The Event"

Well that's coming back later this year with double the episodes

Shame about V though. Could have been great but was pretty slow until it was too late.

'the event' has been cancelled too, or so i am told.

all these high concept / big budget american tv shows end up down the toilet.

Must be huge the amount of money blown on some of these TV series and then they get cancelled after one season or so.

Cant wait to see Season 2 of the walking dead later this year, hope it does well so another series gets approved. Its actually 'good' when some series end naturally, eg the Sopranos. Love that but if they were on say season 19 and the viewers are so low it just gets cancelled it would have been a terrible way to end.

Wish the Simpsons would actually end, didnt realise people still watch that anymore.

to be fair, the last episode of the sopranos, did look like it just got cancelled.

Bugger, really liked that. The season two finale was good where they introduced us a new global resistance network, featuring a character played by Marc Singer - Donovan in the original series.

Damn. So that's two I've been watching cancelled - V and The Event. The Event was shaping up nicely I thought, it was much better after the long break when they ditched all of the timeline jumping around stuff.

I suppose Fringe will be the next to go - it's sci-fi after all...

Oh ffs, The Event has been cancelled too?

Yeah, got the news here http://www.sfx.co.uk/2011/05/14/v-no-ordinary-family-the-event-cancelled-once-upon-a-time/, although it reckons The Event may be distributed by another channel.
