Foooooooooking lovely that's what! I have two pairs shown below. [/brag]

Actually the ZX series of trainers were a range sold by Adidas in the 80's. The pair pictured below are ZX500's. However, there were many ZX models. This model was originally sold in about 85-87. However, Adidas regularly brings out limited runs of these (and other retro models) under their Adidas Originals trademark all with unique colours and styling. This pair called the Gamer edition has a retro computer themed colour way, that is implicitly themed towards arround ZX Spectrum. Notice, the colour stripe has the same ordering, a mocking of the R key lettering is seen on the back, and the stripes use the same type of rubber as the original 16/48k models. It also came with a blue rubber wristband 500kb memory stick which contained a retro style video game.

I'd like a pair for the sake of it, but I'd never be able to wear them round here for fear of probably get jumped by a bunch of rednecks thinking I was wearing a gay pride flag on my feet

Ah yes, thanks for the reminder about these. Must buy a pair (or two) this year before they stop making them.

They have quite a while back. I got mine last Feb and by the summer they were long gone.

Also I've checked ebay and they have none. :(

I dont know ! Doing the old 'buy two pairs' so you can make a fortune in the near future !

They look good but no way on earth would i wear them, one for them to get worn/dirty but also like Boozefreak says i think you may get some abuse for wearing em !

Yes its a shame that these shoes have that Gay connotation, because otherwise without all of that they are a nice shoe.

btw: sorry about the gaylords comment it was supposed to be tongue and cheek.

    "tongue and cheek"

...sounds like an open invitation for some witty comment, methinks..

...sounds like your opening yourself up there for some serious stick...

    ;)
