Sad news! Will have to tune into Classic Rock now. Also get out me Strat and play some of his songs I think.

More an irregular member, Phil Lynott used to call on him as and when he was required (usually after Phil had sacked someone). IIRC he replaced Eric Bell (who left not sacked) and Midge Ure!! at various times.

    No, certainly not.

Of course I meant Planet Rock (couldn't remember the name of the station for a moment).

But he'll have an obituary in Classic Rock next month.

Whilst I don't mind Parisian Walkways, yes I know he's done a lot moore (see what I did!), I'm guessing once again I'll soon be sick of hearing that tune.

Mainly because I brought his greatest hits album as a teen to try and impress my dad whilst on holiday. The rest of which was spent with the song on auto repeat with my dad sipping his whisky and nodding his head saying 'Ah thats real music lad'.

What started out as a quite interesting new musical exploration, quickly turned old and just a little stale.

    RIP Gary.

Another sad lost ; I been listening to thin lizzy for years, and he was indeed an amazing guitarist. He'll be missed by fans worldwide.

WTF? I was listening to his song Out in the fields just yesterday and I'm still humming it only to discover this bit of news. :( RIP Gary Moore.
