Day 7 - A song that reminds you of a certain event. Too many songs remind me of something, but I've gone for this one. It was the first song played at the first gig I ever went to. I remember being surprised at just how loud a gig was. New Model Army - Get Me Out

Day 5 A song that reminds you of someone.

    Massive Cliche time :D

No need to go into detail here it's pretty obvious what I'm getting at, sad thing is it's not Mrs. Boozy this song reminds me of, let's keep that one under our hats eh? ;)

Day 8 - A song you know all the words to. I could have chosen pretty much anything from this film, but I've gone for "The Floor Show" segment as it's actually 3 or 4 songs rolled into one.

Day 9 - A song you can dance to. First of all, I don't dance! I need to be ****faced before I'll even atempt it. But, I could easily dance to this if I needed to. Lets face it, if you can't dance to this, then you must be dead! Car Wash - Rose Royce

    Here's my day 6 tune.

A song that reminds you of somewhere.

This song reminds me of the WHSmith warehouse in Gateshead back home, whenever this song came on the radio everyone would sing the "we're on the road to nowhere" bit, we'd also scream the "Hyaah! Hyahhh!!!!" bit. Other nominations for this would've been Bohemian Rhapsody where the bit where Freddy sings "Mama oooaaoooooooo!", several people (but mainly one) would yell out "Mammeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee uurrrraaaaooooogh!". Another for it would've been that "You've had a bad day" song by Daniel Powter, but I feckin' hate that tune so I wasn't going to post it up.

    Here's my day 7 tune

A song that reminds you of an event.

This tune reminds me of Reading 97', they didn't play there (obviously since they'd been split up for over 10 years), they were nowhere near it. This was a tune that a rather unruly bunch of campers in campsite 3 I think it was kept playing on their ghetto blaster. They were a fun bunch from Dorset I think? Thanks to these guys I spent 3 days pissed off my head when I was supposed to be working. We'd work until our lunchbreak then go sit and drink the infamous festival bru with them. If I remember rightly it was a half bottle of smirnoff, a half bottle of JD, a half bottle of Captain Morgan, a can of beer, and some safeway blackcurrant cordial to chill the nasty taste out, all loveingly poured on top of the final pint or so of cider from a 3 litre bottle of gutrot. They'd cut the top off the cider bottle so it was like a bottle green 3 litre bucket, and then you'd drink the bru. First time round 1 sip, 2nd time round 2 sips, and so on usually by the 4th or 5th time round you were seeing double and may have needed medical attention. After spending our lunchbreak with these guys every day the festival was going on I'm really surprised me and the 3 other guys who were in charge of keeping campsite 3 reasonably tidy weren't sacked because there was one day where I blatantly staggered and fell flat on my face infront of my boss

Lot of stuff happened at that festy, I partly blame it for getting me fully back into doing drugs, I lost my virginity there, and I came home in debt my wages didn't cover all the money I'd blown while I was away :D

Other nominees for this would've been F**ker by the Eels, I vaguely remember listening to that in one of the tents that had the smaller stages, off my face I was, sitting on my mates shoulders pissed, stoned and tripping on mushies at the same time all the while sniffing poppers while I was up there. I don't think my mate put me down in the end, I think I fell off his shoulders, and it took me about 45 minutes to stand up again

Last nomination would've been Bittersweet Symphony by the verve, but I had my head up a chicks T-Shirt sucking her tits for the entire duration of the song, so I didn't hear much of it

Day 10 - a song that makes you fall asleep. Personally, I can sleep through anything. I even once slept through 90% of a live set by In Flames at the Astoria (and that was a LOUD gig!). But, I've opted for a bit of Gregorian Chant as this always relaxes me.

    Day 8

A tune I know all the words to...

With a face like this I won't break any hearts
thinking like that I won't make any friends
screw that forget about that I don't wanna think aboiut anything like that
Screw that forget about that I don't wanna know about anything like that

    .......and so on :D

Quality tune, seems a bit lost on me now I'm in my 30's though

Day 12 - A song from a band you hate. There are a few bands that I really can't stand, but I've gone for U2. I've always found there stuff to be over-rated and Bono is one of those smug arseholes who really need's to be brought down a peg or two. (No Bono, the sun doesn't shine out of your arse. File along side Russel Brand and Ricky Gervaise)

I'll get back to posting my last few of these up again soon. I appear to have missed a few days, been busy, and then er not at home for a day or so. Had my phone with me, but I decided to unplug entirely while I was away.

A break from work, a break from home, and a break from t'internet as it were :D

    Reet here's my day 9

Arthur Baker: Breakers Revenge, but I figured I'd hoy the Beat street clip up.

Let's face it this is one of the best throwdowns from the 80's B-Boy Movies, and every time this came on in the nightclubs I went to when I was younger you could guarentee I'd be drunk, high and rolling around on the floor making a complete dick of myself while several serious wigger types got really angry at my drunken antics. But I got some whistles and whooo's for such crazy moves as my spinning worm (which incidentally I've never seen anyone else do, probably because it messes you up though), every time I did it I'd come away covered in bruises usually just above my knob....ouch! wouldn't even try it now

I came up with it simply cos' the worm is an easy move any idiot can jump into the middle of a circle and pop off easily, so I started spinning it round while I was doing it, nearly snapped my wrist one night :D

My day 10 A song that makes you fall asleep.

There's no full length official vid on pootube so I had to post one of those awful "with lyrics" vids the nutty fanboys post up.

I used to put this tune on to help myself fall asleep on a school night, especially if it was a school night when I'd been sniffing speed, and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. Remember having sly snouts and stubbing them out under my carpet in the darkness while I was in bed listening to this tune when I was 15. I fell asleep a bit prematurely one night and burned a big hole in my mattress

Day 11 a song from your favourite band.

22 years ago it was De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Slick Rick. 18 years ago it was Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Faith no More. 17 years ago The beastie boys, the Pharcyde, Onyx.....and so on

Well now I suppose my fave band is a one I had an introduction to by my cousin, when he was getting into skating, after he basically stole my deck for a whole weekend. I can be thankful to my cousin for that weekend as a 5 or 6 year old where I hated him for stealing my skateboard now. I got him into skating, and because of it he got into hardcore, which in turn introduced me to it at a very young age I suppose. My mother wasn't too happy I still remember playing Suicidal Tendencies and her screaming "TURN THAT SH*TE DOWN......NOW!!!!!!!!".

Anyway enough remniscing here's a tune from a band that's my fave...at the minute...My cousin had either Land Speed Record or Everything Falls Apart or both when I was younger? Either way a subconcious something must've been set, because I almost instinctively hunted this band out on the internet when I could, took me quite a while to get all their stuff, but I did :D

Husker Du: Something I learned Today.

Good tune I think, short, sweet, to the point, and I absolutely f**king love the bassline.
