Playing tunes with tape loading noise

And now for something completely different.
Not a man with a tape recorder up his nose,
but a short video - Speccy playing tunes with tape loading noise.
It's just a proof of concept.

Hah! Great start ... keep up the good work, looking forward to the rest of it! (it's a little too choppy-staccato but great nonetheless)

BTW Could you incorporate the 20th Century Fox Fanfare into the initial Load"" bleeps?

Interesting idea, does it work by drawing what would be a loading screen?

Similar thing was made four years ago, here is a 'music editor' for this.

    Welcome to WOS!
Keep them coming. :) Yes it has been done before (longer tunes, loading noise tune composing, AY music over loading noise, etc.) but you're encouraged to do your own. :)

@ParkRoboZX: It doesn't need to be a loading screen. The loading noise for a code block is always the same no matter what the loading address is.

edit: Miguel had uploaded one to his youtube account some time ago, but it seems it was removed.

    Another wheel reinvention

No problem at all. It's normal for people to enter WOS all excited about something, so excited that they don't even remember to search the forums before posting. :D Happens all the time*, but you don't have to stop having fun just because it was done before. Now go back to your Spectrum and start coding. :-P

*The usual topics made by new arrivals are:

-What if we created a Super Spectrum
-What if we found a way to end colour clash
    -What is the best game
-Which game pushed this or that
    -Best programmer
-How to revolutionize this site and make everything better

    etc.

    Don't worry about that!

Come on, continue with your project, it's looking pretty spiffy!
