@Markybhoy: I will mate dont worry, got another load coming Saturday that I'll get cracking with, out of all of them here Ive got one up and running, but thats a 48k+ and Im going to have to get a new membrane to have it finished. other than that I can stick it in a normal 48k case, but I would still need a new membrane (I think ive run out) and a new faceplate because all the ones I have left are quite "distressed" now!
I'm after a 'classic' rubber 48k to sit proudly next to my splendid Speccy+ - if you ever get hold of one with the casing in decent nick that has the white "ZX Spectrum" lettering intact and you can weave your comp mod/new faceplate and membrane magic on it, I'd be very interested in a purchase.

Tipp-ex Mouse generally does the trick, it's not as robust as the original, but then again it's probably not going to get as much stick.
Wonder what kind of paint was actually used though?
