Twin port joystick interface

Did anyone ever release a twin port joystick interface that (for example) had one port for "Sinclair" and the other for "Kempston"?

I'm looking for a way my wife and I can play Gauntlet (and possibly other games) using 2 joysticks, on a 48k.

Yep, DK'tronics. It was quite a good one. They pop up all the time on eBay.

[EDIT] I found another - the Kempston Pro Joystick Interface - but I didn't know they were on WoS until Macc posted those links (shame on me!).

Kempston Pro is a bit of an annoying one, because it looks like it can operate 3 joysticks at once, but it can't.

Two of them are Sinclair types, the third operates the Kempston joystick protocol but also operates the cursor keys at the same time. Which means you can't use either of the Sinclair ports with the Kempston one.

If anyone knows of a way to nobble the circuit so it doesn't do cursor keys then I'd love to know. Why couldn't they have just put a fourth port on it? Or had a switch or automatic change-over when you switch on or something?

Thanks for the link, but ?10 postage is extremely high for such a small item.

Thanks for that info. I may have purchased it, but not now I know this.

I'm after one that can use Sinclair and Kempston ports at the same time.

It's my uncomplette project - multijoystick interface

Contain 4x joystick connector and is programmable. Joysticks can work as:
Q,A,O,P,SPACE
Q,W,E,R,T
Sinclair 1 (6,7,8,9,0)
Sinclair 2 (1,2,3,4,5)
Kempston
Fuller
Cursor (with shift)
Cursor (without shift - only numbers)

And is possible connect also PS/2 mouse (k-mouse)

Good point! ... was just curious as to why you hadn't mentioned the IF2 itself, since you mentioned the 'Sinclair' interface. :)

I guess a Kempston + Sinclair interface would support more games, though.

My other thought was a DISCiPLE, but... hrm ? maybe not? :p
