Aye but if it was a crappy FPS it'd be done here in the US ;)

Good point. Only the Americans would do that.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.

I have been playing Reach myself the last week,i never owned an original X-box so this is the first Halo i have ever played. Its not as good as some FPS i have played but i am enjoying it-so far i have returned to Sword Base and are defending the laboratory door by activating the turrets.
You're near the end of that level and the game itself. True, it's not as good as some other FPS games, but it's still good. Just don't go onto bungie.net's Reach forum. Every second thread on there is complaining about Armour Lock, Bloom and a bunch of other things. Basically because it's different to Halo 3. Which everybody complained about because it was different to Halo 2.

Anyways, sometimes it reminds me of Quake (yes, Quake, not Quake 3) while in multiplayer. Sometimes it can be really frantic (mainly the Forge based levels) and loads of fun, other times it can be just like most other fps games and not really do anything different.

Like me, I haven't had an original xbox, but I did get H3 with my 360 and I did buy ODST aswell, but absolutely nothing beats Quake on Nightmare :D

Noticed you were playing that earlier. That's a brilliant game. It's my replacement for the Soul Reaver games on this gen. It can be a bit picky with the buttons sometimes (one hidden thing where you've to fall, fly then grapple all in one was a pain) but it's one game I hardly ever had problems with bugs/quality control type things.

Shame Hennig left and went on to do Uncharted as PS3 only. I'd like to play that just for the story. But I ain't buying a PS3 just for that

Gamespot mention the fact that it has loads of frame rate and screen tearing issues, but I haven't noticed them at all, it's pretty damn smooth as far as I can tell. Mind you, it did download an update when I first started it, so maybe they've patched the problems it had on release.

I never noticed any of those problems either. But I can't remember there being an update for that until after the major dashboard update at the end of last year. I probably did get the game update before that though :D

Dammit, I'm in the mood of playing Darksiders and Quake now, but I've got Borderlands and one challenge to do on Halo today (I'm still going for the weekly, I only need 3 so I'm making sure I only need 2 tomorrow incase I can't do them all)!

I was playing a bit of Reach today too...was playing the new Classic slayer and the Action Sack playlists! Classic is just slayer played on some fan-made remakes of old Halo levels with gameplay to match, but Action Sack is quite interesting...

It's a collection of a few custom game variants...so for instance, today I was playing Hockey, which you try and smack a giant golfball into a net against another team...Haloball, which is a variation on those puzzle games you get where you ping a ball up and try to get it into different scoring holes, and Speedpile which is like Stockpile but with loads of flags and a lot more speed!

I do like the fact that they're trying to keep introducing different game modes to give you something else to do and give you more for your money!

Also went back to New Vegas for a bit...have just Mr. House and currently deciding best course of action! It's a good game, but I somehow don't like it as much as Fallout 3...

I've seen a couple of remakes of Boundless (that's the snow one from H3?) and Valhalla. The Valhalla one was really good, there were a few minor things wrong, but they even got the rocks and jumps in the middle right!

I haven't played Action Sack at all yet. The last time I played something like that was on H3. I loved Sumo on that. That was fantastic. I like that more than Griffball. Although Hockey and Haloball sound like fun aswell.

I managed to get my first ever Infection win earlier. I got a Killing Spree, Zombie Killing Spree and Shotgun Spree all in the first round and I think I only won it by 2 points! But hey, my first Infection victory ever! And the games were really quik so I got 5 done then buggered off to Borderlands again.

I'm probably not going back to Fyrestone for a wee while thanks to that bloody giant moth mission. I set the 3 fires then got totally fried by the moth's fireballs. I didn't even see it!

I've got an Elephant Sniper Rifle that's got a power of almost 200 and that's bearly making a dent in the bugger. I tried my SMG fire elemental and even that was crap. And I'm getting killed in 3 or 4 hits so that's me pretty much screwed.

But I've got loads of new stuff to do in New Haven. And I've got to see Scooter about something. But I have no idea who Scooter is

So does anybody on here play Mine Craft? I have been playing it for a few months and can see why some people refer to it as "Mine Crack"! It is really hard to describe but I expect most people have a least heard of it. I sometimes run a server on my machine and play multi-player with my wife and brother-in-law. Trouble is it can really eat up your spare time.

Got Street Fighter 4 for my new 3DS today. It's seriously good, the gfx and animation are top notch, I can't see much difference between it and the PS3 version. Gameplay is silky smooth and very fast. The speed was what put me off on the PS3 but I'm getting used to it.

Not had any problems with the 3D display so far, although not many people will use it turned up full (I have it just under half way), but I have found my hands starting to cramp after about 20 minutes. That's probably just old age creeping in though ;-)

Playing an online game called World of tanks, it's just finished beta testing and will be going live on 12th April. It's a fun game like Counter Strike but with tanks instead of soldiers.
My brother has already clocked up 400 hours of game time on it!

Been playing the Lost and the Damned again.

Think I just need to finish off the races, and the story missions and I'll have the 100%.

May have some random encounters left though? I still have to go bowling as well (although I don't know if that counts towards the 100%). The seagulls only took me about 8 hours to get as well, a lot better than the 3 days it took me to get 1/3rd of the pigeons in the main game.

Started playing Torchlight (PC), a Diablo II-esque offline dungeon crawler that I picked up around Xmas on Steam for a paltry sum. The story seems quite forgettable, but it plays, sounds and looks rather well ... though I wish you could control your character using WASD rather than by point-and-click. Guess this part of the controls is better on the 360 version (it is on XBLA) ...

Sounds a bit like this http://www.soldak.com/Dins-Curse/Overview.html

Which I thought was pretty good. Cheap to buy too.

I think I have the last story mission ready to go
    Spoiler:
. Other than that i have 6 races left to do and a random encounter with Malc, which I went to to get away from the races, and ended up in another bloody race, I stopped and reloaded my game in and did the Ray Boccino mission
    Spoiler:

I also definitely know who Luis Lopez is now and I know exactly which parts of the main game he popped up in now, also the mission Romans Holiday is hilarious

He's the guy that tries to talk the Keanu Reeves parody down from getting himself blasted to bits during the bank heist in GTA IV. He's a dude. I like Luis.

Well like I say I know who he is now, and if I can get these races done today I'll be getting acquainted with Mr. Lopez sometime later on today. That's if I can do the races, I only have 5 left but I had some real trouble with the last 2 I did.

The Alderney Beach Race and Race Alderney Casino, no matter which bike I got I was all over the place on the sand, but once again with some careful planning and sitting 3 inches away from the TV for the entire duration of the races I got there in the end.

Did them both with the NRG 900 which I don't like at all but it's well fast even if the overslide on the corners is insane. Does this game have any Sanchez's in it, I'm sure I rode one earlier on or saw somebody on one? I'm pretty sure the main game had them in, infact it does isn't it a Sanchez you chase "The Peg" on
    Spoiler:
    ?

I'm pretty sure that's right, there are definately scramblers in the game, and I'm about 70-80% certain that they are called Sanchez. Now that you mention the "Peg" ending, I'm struggling to remember what happens in the other one, it's been ages since I've played these games properly.

I know I shouldn't, because I've already got hordes of games on the go, but I'm so damn tempted to play through all of these again.

Well, I'm currently in the process of trying to get the bloody pigeons again (cheating and using a guide on youtube!).....but I just got another 10, realised that for some reason I wasn't connected to LIVE, so I tried to connect and then it downloaded a bloody update thus restarting the game and wiping out the aforementioned 10 pigeons I just hunted! Gah! Kinda put off again now....

Yes well the less said about that the better ;)

I enjoyed GTA IV the most so far out of the sandboxers I've played (funnily enough Scarface, bully, and Yakuza bring up the rear instead of another GTA), and I'll have to go through it again sometime, to take all the different options.

Finished The Lost and the Damned with the 100% this morning.

Loved the credits at the end.

Pretty much loaded Gay Tony up right away, and I see it starts pretty much halfway through the main game, from the bank scene. Startup was pretty cool once again lots of references to the main game and from the previous DLC.

Like how it starts off with Tony getting grief from the Ancelottis as well.

Also do you think Gay Tony is meant to look like George Micheal, or could it all be a big coincidence?

Anyway gonna plough through this game for the 100% as well, and then either play Madworld on the Wii, or get my PS2 out and finally play Yakuza 2? I'm expecting good things from Both of those games, especially Yakuza 2 as I loved the first one.

Mostly Borderlands today. Reached level 30 already and I've just found Old Haven so I'm expecting a few new and difficult missions.

That Mothrakk was bloody annoying. The mission was level 18 or 21 and I was 28 when I had help from Drell to kill the bugger last night. Even though the difficulty at that point was Trivial for me and Impossible for Drell (he was only level 15 at the time) we still did a hell of a lot better than when I was level 24 fighting him on my own with a sniper rifle of 285!

Got three challenges done on Halo Reach aswell. I love Nightfall for the Iron dailies :D

Shame Drell's net has gone down though or we'd probably have got through LNoS:LASO last night. We'd have struggled on a few places (me with the ship fight and both of us when you first get on the Corvette) but other than that we'd have got it done. Bloody ISP screws it up though:mad:

I did the weekly challenge in Reach with some German dude the other night...took us about the same amount of time you and I played that first All Skulls challenge.....the bit where you first get on the corvette is the bit that had us stuck for ages....

I'm still playing GTAIV and trying to get these pigeons...got just over 100 now! Much easier with the guide on youtube, so you can actually see where the hell they are....

I used an online guide too, and although it took ages, I managed to get them all without any real problems. The stunt jumps, on the other hand, I never managed to get. I followed a guide for those too, thought I'd had them all until I got near the end and realised that I in fact missed a couple. At the time, I couldn't be bothered to go through the whole guide again, but I haven't played GTA IV in ages now, so it might be a good time to give the list of jumps another go.

I found the seagulls on TLatD a lot easier to find than the pigeons, I know you can hear the pigeons when you're close to them but they're very quiet you have to really listen for them. The seagulls can be heard halfway across the map, they practically scream at you :D

I imagine they'll be easy-ish to find on Gay Tony, which is quite funny so far.

....and whoever said it a while back about knowing why Brucie is the way he is was right! :o

Mori is about 50 times more annoying than Brucie, and isn't even funny with it, at least you could get a bit of a laugh out of the crap that Brucies spouts :(

for a video game a lot of the characters are quite well rounded, you see much worse in hollywood films.
