My mate at school did that game in 12mins and i saw it happen and i have completed it too so its not that hard ;-) ,like most games you need to familiarise yourself with the floors and where items can appear, good item randomization helps too of course. It may not seeem like it but the flloors are in fact very distinguishable.
Trashman gets my vote too, original idea and it worked.

I too completed Atic Atac, but on an Amstrad Emailer while at work in about 15 minutes. I couldn't believe it. For years never getting anywhere on a real speccy, but to then get it done on a tiny little screen with an even smaller keyboard was just weird.
I never liked Goldeneye. I was already heavily into FPS games on the PC and Goldeneye was just too slow and fiddly for me.
It was a bit slower than most FPSs, but that was because stealth was optional, as well as just shooting (plus being on a console it was probably slowed down a bit too to compensate for the lower controllability of a joypad over a mouse), and getting used to playing with a joypad when you're used to a keyboard+mouse system would be difficult and make the game seem fiddly, plus the strange design of the N64's official controller makes it hard to use for anyone unused to it anway (I use a third party controller that's much more similar to a 'standard' joypad design, and I wouldn't be without it
Do you like any console games? Not being cheeky here, as I know people who don't like console games at all (and others, who can't stand PC games, and I've met people (males as well as female) my age and younger who don't like any sort of video gaming, which does seem surprising to me. Then again, I know people who don't like reading, so I suppose there's all sorts of tastes.
If you don't that's fair enough of course, each to their own (unless it's a Jim Davidson fan, for which there's no excuse!), but you are missing out on many fantastic games, as is anyone who limits themselves to the machines they play on. Although the flip side is that, like me, you end up with too mant games to play in your limited free times, so you can't win either way :-o

I like many console games, just none that really has been mentioned here. If I were to pick a couple off the top of my head, I did really like:
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Super Mario Bros. (NES)
Out Run 2 (Xbox)
Ridge Racer (PS)
Destruction Derby 1 and 2 (PS)
Wipeout (PS)
Time Crisis (PS)
...and many more. Just because I don't like pretty much any of the console games mentioned here doesn't mean that I'm missing out on some classics, call it a Marmite moment. Hell, I've been playing console games since 1978. The gaming platform of choice for me now though is PC gaming, since the types of games I like most (FPS, space sim, driving games) tend to be much better on PC (and far easier to control) than on console.
But I do have a fairly varied console collection; Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, NES, SNES, Megadrive.

I'd argue that you are missing out on classics by not playing them, even if you don't like them. I don't like strategy or RPG games, but even so I'd still say that Star Craft, Command and Conquer, Dungeon Master and the the Final Fantasy games are classics, even though I'll probably never play them.

We've been here before - FPSs are not better on PCs than consoles, as (a) there's no objectively 'better', it's all down to opinion, and (b) Perfect Dark, despite being eleven years old and on a 32MB N64 cartridge still makes every other FPS look pathetic by comparison.
I asked you last time to name me one PC FPS that has even half of PD's features, and you couldn't, and that situation hasn't changed since. The PC has some fantastic FPSs, but not the best, if any one game can be the best.
And yes, the mouse and keyboard is more precise than a joypad, but not by nearly so much as some PC owners make out - look at some speed run videos, for example, of console FPSs, where the player gets headshots every time. This just would not be possible if joypads weren't accurate enough to play FPS. Even some PC gamers use joypads for FPS (though admittedly I don't see why). Yes, it takes more skill to use a joypad well in a FPS game than a keyboard and mouse, but it is possible. And the keyboard itself is a terrible control method for games. And you mention driving games being easier to control on PC games - how? Using the mouse or the keyboard? Neither are exactly suited for driving games, an analogue stick is better for that, surely?
And even though I'm no fan of driving games, I have read a lot of people saying that that genre is better on consoles.
And no offence, but why is it always PC owners who have to 'prove' their machines superiority. I go on PC and console boards, and I don't think I've ever seen a console owner trying to prove that consoles are superior in any genre to a PC, even a genre in which it is generally accepted that the console is superior to the PC, such as the platform game or motion control games. Yet PC owners often feel the need to justify their machine by going on about how much superior PCs are to consoles, whether it's true (strategy games) or false (first person shooters).
PCs and consoles are both great, and each have an army of loyal fans, so why not leave it at that?

Too hard!
Still like it though. And Trashman.
See - Woody agrees with me, and he writes emulators!
Oh yes!
What about the original Speccy Football Manager?

All of the above (especially Desert Strike, awesome game).
What about Bomb Jack, Paperboy, Commando or Green Beret
as was exp fist.. FAR to easy after you sussed the move.. IK+ kicked it anyway :D
Mile only wanted us to big up his game, right ?
you all loved break thru by US gold.. :p
I would include Green Beret and Commando, even any sports game, like D.T. Decathlon or Hypersports.
'nuff said.

Anyway, you tried it, so fair enough.
Great game, and much better than the N64 version, I think.
All time classic! My favourite arcade game ever.
Completely agree!!! ... I'll close the thread now.
Good man!
That's why I'm up so late, I've just finished punching a rock monster to death with Tiggy...
My faves to this day are Gothmog, Tiggy and Daroou
(Ok, I also like Gando, Halk, Hawk and Iaido.)
What about Hissa? Or Wuuf? Saying that, my personal fave was Linflas.
And did you get take the (un-ubered) Firestaff back to the start? Gosh, wasn't I displeased when I did that the first time...
p.s. it wasn't my intention to hijack this thread with talk of Dungeon Master (the game everyone likes - official)
I think I played Wuuf ok but never really got used to Hisssssssa nor Linflas. Took the staff to the front door once yup.
In CSB my faves were Plague, Petal, Mantia and Lor ... along with of course the ones I mentioned before.
BTW I've NEVER played Theron's Quest nor Nexus. Are they any good? (if you guys have tried those two)
Agreed, :D
Swap the Atari for the Amiga and exchange Dungeon Master 1 for SkullKeep and you've got a deal. Ace game.
Me, can't stand it.

I would quite happily leave it at that, it's you who can't.
And I don't like Perfect Dark either.
