Help!!!

Hi all.

I'm new to the forum.

I fully appreciate that your forum has rules and I would not wish to bend or break any of them.

I don't know if I need to have a certain number of posts or have served a particular length of membership before I can list items for sale on this forum.

The reason for me joining your forum is that I have aquired a large amount of spectrum (and BBC, Acorn, Archimedes etc) compurers, accessories and programmes following the death last year of a very close friend.

I've forgotten all I ever knew about this stuff. I did had a BBC and a Spectrum of my own but that was a very long time ago.

I'm in the Lichfield area (UK).

Is there anybody who might live close to me and be willing and able to help me to identify and sort out this stuff ready to offer it to you guys?

Thanks.

Dave.

there are quite a few members live in the Brum area, I'm sure that you will get some volunteers to help you, if you don't get any then I will gladly help - but plenty of others live nearer to you than I do.

might I suggest, that if, in the assessment / valuation of the stuff someone comes across a MIA (missing in action) title from the database, that you loan it for preservation - an electronic copy is made, and you get it back again?

    :)

also, you will be suprised how much info you can get form some photos,

I've laid out box loads of spectrum games on their side before, and photographed all the titles in a couple of shots, and posted them here befor

people could probably give you a lot of info from a few .jpegs

    Thanks for the help guys.

As soon as all the darkroom equipment (another of his hobbies) has gone (eBay sales finish tomorrow) I'll get all the stuff layed out and photograph it.

Which area of the forum would be best to put it in for advice?

Is it worth putting the none Spectrum stuff on or would that be sacralige?

Put it in the Sales forum, and put in the non Spectrum stuff, there's a lot of guys here who are multi format retro collectors.
