ISO problem - any ideas?

edited April 2011 in Chit chat
I have an ISO disc image file which when I mount it with Alchohol 120% just shows as empty, and I then can't open the 'disc' in Windows. It's supposed to be a standard Windows fomat disc (a game I torrented down, but I won't say which one, but it ryhmes with Tamerican Tmcgee's Talice, I played it years back but never completed it).

Anyway, I always use Alcohol 120% to mount disc images, but what alternatives are there? I used to use Daemon Tools but that was a while back, what is currently the best?

And are there any programs to look at an .ISO file and tell me if there are problems with it?

There were no complaints of it not working on the torrent's page, and WinRAR didn't throw up any errors.

Help!

Try opening the ISO in another program, for instance MagicISO.

If the ISO image is corrupted, then mount it as a CD-ROM, then use CD Recovery Free to recover any files from it:

... CD Recovery Free is an excellent recovery tool, and I can strongly recommend it as I've used it in the past and it's done an amazing job at salvaging damaged CDROMs.
