    Ballad of Gay Tony
    Spoiler:

Gonna finish up the story I guess, then the PS3 is taking a short vacation under the table, and the PS2 is returning to it's former glory on top of the table, so I can play Yakuza 2. I'll come back to TBOGT for the 100% another time, since you can replay the story missions in this game that makes it much more appealing to try for the 100% after you've clocked it.

I suppose if I gave a nutsack about trophies I could try for all of those on the DLC's? But I probably won't bother? :D

Dude, if you get all the trophies for TBoGT, you truly are the bestest gamer ever. 100% score on every mission? I can't even get 80% on every mission...

Same...I must have tried that bloody mission at the golf range at least 10 times and have only managed to get about 70%....

Yep, that one's got me stumped too. I can get the golf shots 100% accurate, but it's the chase/shootout that ensues that gets me. Thing is, it's one of the first missions on the list, and it's put me off trying most of the other ones, they're bound to be harder.

Again, same.....I think you need to get like 100% headshots against the baddies, and then zoom to the end, but I just gave up. I'll probably try again when the mood takes me....

I've been playing Mario Kart on the Wii yesterday and today....unlocked my Wii Mii, and decided to have a few races online. Forgot how much fun it is! :)

Also played a bit of Super Mario Sunshine, as I've re-started that and intend to complete it this time....Might just have a Nintendo day today and play some more old stuff..I do miss the cutesy fun-factor Nintendo's stuff brings every now and again!

    Yakuza 2....at last :D

Remember a while back I said Yakuza played quite similar to Shenmue? Well it really, really does!!! I've still got my Yakuza save on my memory card and when I started a new game it said "Yakuza save data found. A reward has been left in your item box".

    How cool is that? :)

Shenmue-a-like indeed! It only just sunk in Yakuza 2 much like Shenmue 2 is in bloody Japanese, it's not dubbed!

The cheeky bastards! It's not like Yakuza was under some mass demand to be rushed out because the PS2 was on it's last legs...Are Sega just lazy buggers? Or are they tight fisted sods who can't spend some company budget on hiring the same voice actors for sequels, so they just don't bother translating?

Still a good game though, but I'd like the option of Japanese or English Speech and/or text not one or the other, or no choice at all as is the case here.....Bastards!

After much delay, fannying about and sulkiness due to the lack of mid-mission check points, I finally completed Grand Theft Auto IV tonight! (well the story missions anyway). Only completed 69.42% of the game, so a lot to do to get to the 100% mark.

I'll probably go on to the Lost and Damned next, made a start on that ages ago but left it for the main game.

Cool. Congrats! The real fun is still yet to come too.

I'm a bit gutted really. Recently got back into Fallout: NV. I decided that I was finding it far too difficult on hardcore mode and switched it back to normal, and I am enjoying it a hell of a lot more... but one of my companions has got stuck in a building, and it's messed things up a fair bit. She won't follow me through the door (my other companion will), and because I'd ventured about a fair bit after leaving the building, without noticing she wasn't there, I'd wiped over the save from before I entered that building with a newer save. Doh! I might have to switch to hardcore to kill her off (companions don't revive themselves in hardcore mode), just so I can have a third buddy. Nevermind, eh?

Currently playing World of Tanks, it's an online game similar to Counter Strike except you control a tank rather than a soldier. Its free to play and is quite good fun.

you should try 'battle ground europe' (http://www.battlegroundeurope.com/) its quite expensive but you get a months free trial at frst. i play it all the time. its very similar, but you get to play as infantry and planes too in the same world. quite authentic but a very steep learning curve, not your typical COD fps at all.

been meaning to try WOT though.

There is a new NV patch due out soon, so it may be worth waiting for that to see if it fixes your bug: http://www.qj.net/pc-gaming/news/fallout-new-vegas-patch-dlc-incoming.html

I actually managed to get her to leave the building last night. It seems that it was just a case of both companions not being able to get through the door together, so I just made my other companion wait on the outside while I went back to usher Veronica out of the building. Didn't think of that before, silly me.

There's still a bevy of bugs scattered around the game though, hopefully a good few of these will be sorted with the new update.

I completely lost Boone at one point...dunno where he went! Didn't see him for about an hour and then when I fast travelled somewhere he appeared beside me!

I like to think it wasn't a bug, and that the AI is just so good that he decided to go and do something else for a bit...:D

Yeah, I'm bumping off the pigeons at present. It's quite good because it takes you to places you might not have been before, and also forces you to go on foot, so you can explore places more and take in the sights, instead of whizzing past them at 80 mph.

Only about 193 to go :p

    Yakuza 2...

...I've had the story hung up on chapter 4 for a few days now, been doing a side mission where I have to stand in for the owner of a Hostess Bar because his mother is sick, so that involved furnishing and expanding the club, keeping all the hostesses happy and wotnot. Took me about 3 days, but by the time I had the club awesome a rival club poached my number 1 girl, so I poached their number 1 girl.

Then the basts came round and smashed me club up, it's shut down now :(

The mission isn't complete yet though so I assume you can go back later, probably to get shouted at by the original owner for getting his club smashed up :D

So now I'm doing a mission where I have to become number 1 host in a Hosts Bar, in order to catch the owner of the club who only comes round once a month, because he's been scamming all the hosts into fronting their clients massive drinks tabs.

Funny thing is the story mode is hung up in a really odd place, I'm supposed to go to my clan headquarters, and then meet someone at 1 am the next night. I have a cop with a bullet wound lying on my sofa, but since I haven't went to HQ, and with the hostess and host bar missions, in game time she's probably been lying on my sofa in agony for about a month

Yakuza 2 again.....only on chapter 7 of the story and already I've racked up about 40 hours of play :o

Although there was one day when I left it paused for about 4 hours (It's one of those games that keeps the game clock ticking even if you pause it.....hello Resi-Syndrome "

Purposely not progressing the story if I can help it (annoyingly enought there's certain parts of the story that force you to keep playing to a certain extent), and doing as many side missions as possible. I did do part of the story since I last mentioned the game which involves you having to beat up a gang called 16-Bit, and their leader is a nerd, you need a key off him for an old building where they used to hang out, and when you approach him he's standing playing an RPG on a handheld.

He tells you to f*ck off, and he gets really angry cos' you made him die on his game, then he calls his big fat brother to chin you

    This!

On XBLA.....Far too cute for it's own good, but it can be damn tricky! Loving it though...reminds me of kids programs in the early eighties, but has a very "In the Night Garden" soundtrack....

Aw crap! I've always managed to stay away from Call Of Duty games...and I thought I'd had it with zombies too...and then Treyarch go and release this....

That does look great. Danny Trejo in a game? I think I'm sold!

I'm playing Fallout: NV. Near the end of the main quest now (one of the endings, anyway), just gonna keep doing random missions until I level up to 30 and then I'll end it all. I'm currently on very bad terms with the NCR and the Legion (trying my best to finish it with "very good" karma), so there's lots of missions/achievements I won't be able to get unless I play it through again, which I probably will do as soon as I'm done.

Been trying to get barred from the Ultra-Luxe for the best part of tonight, just need one more casino...

I'm sorry, but how is this in any way not a complete ripoff of Left 4 Dead 1 and 2? I'm rather shocked that Valve hasn't got the lawyers in on this one!

presumably because treyarch did the same thing in COD-world at war which was released before left 4 dead (albeit by a few days)

i dont think valve ripped it off them though, although as you say they are very similar.

Besides, if you start trying to copyright zombie-shooters you'll run into all sorts of trouble!

Rockstar payed "homage" to Left 4 Dead as well, with their different zombie types in Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare pack...

I'm not referring to the zombie theme itself, there's really no way you can copyright that, but the mod has four characters including one female, in a zombie hoard attack at a specific location. Watching that youtube video, you could simply replace the four characters from there with the L4D ones and the game would be pretty much identical. How is that not copyright violation?

Call of Duty - World at War

'The multiplayer mode allows up to four players to pit themselves against wave after wave of undead Nazis. The goal is to withstand as many waves as possible, which are limitless. Producer Dan Bunting calls the mode "total survival horror" and emphasizes that it requires true cooperative play to survive. A money system allows players to purchase weapons, as well as board up windows, move couches and build barricades against the zombie onslaught.
World at War's solo campaign must be completed to unlock the multiplayer zombie mode.'

i am failing to see why another Call of Duty game can't do the same thing. adding a female character isn't copyright theft.

Because again, the zombie mode in WaW is quite different to the obvious L4D ripoff that this new mod is doing. Again I'm not saying that zombie games themselves are copyrightable (George Romero learnt that the hard way with his first zombie film) but this new mod is quite simply stealing the game design of L4D and putting into their own setup.

If you can't see that, then you are really, really blind!
