Best co-op games on other machines

edited May 2011 in Chit chat
My nephew (17) is visiting tomorrow and we are going to have a sesh on my turnarcade retro machine (cracking piece of kit).

It has pretty much every arcade game from the 70s and 80s. Which games are a blast for two player competitive or co-op?

Thanks as ever!

    I can recommend a few decent 2player co-ops from the 90's.

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles + Turtles in Time
    The Simpsons
(For the above 3 make sure you play the 2 player version as you can pick which character you want where as the 4 player versions are fixed)

    Aliens
    Alien Storm
    Metal Slug Series
    Vendetta

If you want a laugh also try Guardians O' The Hood its got to be one of the crappest scrolling beatemups ive played it came out during the whole digitized actors phase like in Mortal Kombat.

And 2 of my favourite all time 2.5D beatemups

Final Fight + Knights of The Round

P.S If you havent guessed scrolling beat em ups are my favourite Arcade genre

Beat em ups are most likely going to be the best fun,for some reason to me shootem ups are bettter one player in my opinion.
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    Final Fight
    Double Dragon 1/2
    Street Fighter 2
    Championship Sprint
Ironman Ivan Stewart's Super Off Road
    Xybots
    Alien Storm
    Snow Bros

Hiding behind some high pallets and probably having a spliff to boot, while all your utterly competent co-workers are slaving away no doubt. Back to work, you lazy bast! ;)

Can't smoke weed if you have a job in the USA and want to keep your health insurance, my job piss tests if you even so much as nick the tip of your finger and a single blood cell escapes. Test positive for drugs once, lose your insurance, test positive twice, out the door and looking for a new job (If it's weed you tested positive for they give you a month if it's still in your system after that bye bye, if it's something more hardcore like Meth, Crack, PCP, or Heroin, you don't get the second chance). That's just my workplace as well, many others wouldn't be so leniant.

Bit of a bast really as I could murder a bong
