Why are you so anti-CCTV ? Are you paranoid or something ?
CCTV has helped in a ton of court cases in the UK, i feel much safer going through some town centre at night as i know theres cameras.
'Little children' in jail, who are you talking about here ? These 'kids' arent put in some huge jail ! Often people complain that the places they do go to are way too comfortable considering some 12 year old might have killed someone (for example).
We dont have the death sentence in the UK and 'life' doesnt mean life in most examples, maybe a max of 25 years. The far right seem pretty big in Austria, that wont put me off going there because i've heard of a few bad stories. I watch a lot of programs about Mexico about all the drug gangs, all the killings/shootings (and also Brazil), wont put me off going to those two countries though.
But with your way of thinking you'll never go to any country in the world, many other countries have done 'bad' things now or in the past. I mean Hitler ?!
Yes, that is the exact reason. There is a reward of 25 Million Dollars put on my head.
I will clear up something:
I live in a halfway free country (not speaking about cellar residences), and we have no death punishment here, Lifeterm setence ends after 25 years and we do not put little children into Jail, even if they murdered someone.
But CCTV started here too, not that massive as in GB.
I'm very very liberal, not conservative, but respect the opinion of other humans.
I'm against terrorism, no matter from which side: Taliban or USA, both is not acceptable. Killing People is Crime, even if they killed other people.
The Al-Qaida did not start the terror because its so much fun, but because USA started a war against Islam states.
Nice opinion...that's all it is though till you get a bigger stick than those in the positions of power who disagree with it. Armchair outrage doesn't usually result in change.
many other countries have done 'bad' things now or in the past. I mean British Empire ?!
Fixed!
Yep fairs fair !
Didnt realise LCD had these views, didnt seem to mention them before, the second the worlds most wanted terrorist is killed then out comes the 'i hate USA/UK' type of posts !? Bizarre
Quite lucky the UK doesnt kill Peter Sutcliffe the Yorkshire Ripper or his anger towards the UK will be even worse !
I'm very very liberal, not conservative, but respect the opinion of other humans.
It's good to respect human life. I'm extremely liberal too. I'm pretty much pro-everything except pro-discrimination. I'm socially liberal, fiscally conservative (small government, never spend more than you receive, if you require more money, raise taxes) and pro-fairness. I'm also pragmatic when it comes to war. Going to war is a measure of last resort but you should never leave the option off the table or other nations will sense weakness and exploit it.
I'm against terrorism, no matter from which side: Taliban or USA, both is not acceptable. Killing People is Crime, even if they killed other people.
The Al-Qaida did not start the terror because its so much fun, but because USA started a war against Islam states.
Al-Qaida started the war based on a warped view that the West was at war with Islam. Its true that America, politically charged by politically powerful fundamental Christian lobbyists has blindly supported Israels policy of building settlements on contended land and has time and time again vetoed UN resolutions that criticize Israel, but that hardly constitutes a war with Islam itself. The US is far too self-interested to start such a war consciously.
Whatever the motivation of Al-Qaida, any organization that targets civilians deserves no sympathy.
When arresting individual members, however monstrous, of Al-Quaida, they should be treated as human beings but in the case of Osama's death, it appears there was a struggle and that is how he came to be dead.
My understanding is that the operation in Pakistan wasn't an assassination, although there is the question of if he was taken alive, would this lead to many more deaths in the world as the terrorists try to create a massive pool of hostages to trade for their leader. Imagine having to make the call of letting Osama go free or watching several hundred children die by beheading or suicide bomb. Top terrorist figures make very dangerous prisoners and for that reason there exists the possibility that it may have been an assasination. There was certainly no doubt that he would have received the death penalty anyway given the overwhelming evidence of his culpability in September 11th and other plots.
I personally don't celebrate the death of anyone, even a monster, but I do understand how this can help those thousands of families who lost loved ones obtain some measure of closure.
Lets be honest, she's not likely to say "My father used my mother as a shield showing him to be the coward that he is in the hope that they would kill her whilst he protected himself"...
I count myself as a cynic but to suggest that the (post-Vietnam) the US targets civilians as policy seems to be utterly unfounded.
Of course, civilians are regrettably sometimes killed in the fog of war and often even friendly troops are killed in the same way but the US air force is a professional organization that prides itself on surgical strikes. Mistakes have been and will be continues to be made but when a civilian is killed by the US is is regretted, not celebrated. This is a human trait called empathy and I believe this common to everyone. Additionally, the US air force has tribunals for any individual that commits a war crime. Additionally, its very expensive to kill civilians with ordinances.
If a pilot goes off target and shoots a mosque or something due to a personal fanaticism (due to radical Christian reasons or similar) they will be held to account even if this is not publicly known. All flights are logged, ordinances counted and pilots appraised for psychological problems.
The US Air Force has checks and balances. War crime has never been a policy of the American military.
Lets be honest, she's not likely to say "My father used my mother as a shield showing him to be the coward that he is in the hope that they would kill her whilst he protected himself"...
the thing is though, she told a pakistani official that just happend to pass the little tidbit of info on.
oddly versions of the story claim that he was taken in front of the family and shot, and others claiming it was only in front of her.
i guess the pakistani government is glad for the story as it is taking the focus away from their massive incompitence.
Lets be honest, she's not likely to say "My father used my mother as a shield showing him to be the coward that he is in the hope that they would kill her whilst he protected himself"...
I know its a joke ! LCD just tends to believe whatever he wants to and takes bits here and there.
Anyway i'm off to get the train and avoid all the dodgy terrorists we have hanging round every town and station in England and avoid all the CCTV cameras as theyre 'evil' ;)
Lets be honest, she's not likely to say "My father used my mother as a shield showing him to be the coward that he is in the hope that they would kill her whilst he protected himself"...
Yes, why should she lie? I believe her more than the US-Version which changes every hour. Latest official statement was that Osama did not use his wife as shield, she was running herself at the SEALs (to be protected or to protect her Husband) and was shoot by the SEALs and injured. Osama was not a coward. Would a coward declare war to USA? The cowards are sitting in the control room of unmanned remote controlled weapons. cowards shoot at unarmed humans. But at least it was a quick death.
911 victims are unarmed too, but attacking these targets, Osama knew that USA will call for revange, and attack him. So calling him a coward is denying the facts.

LCD never believes USA anymore. I will see the uncut Video on Wikileaks.
Don't worry about terrorists, they need 2-3 months to plan, prepare and train all the bombing, and they will primary attack USA and the white house. They also want to hang Bush Junior and Obama.
Don't take me wrong: I'm against terror, no matter from which side. But least Obama fulfilled Bushs promise to hunt Osama down in his luxury earth hole.

Whether hes a coward or not who care, Osama is scum and i'm glad hes dead. Its a bit like arguing whether Hitler is a coward/evil/mental etc, who cares, hes scum. I mean youre just being picky, here we are arguing about whether Osama was a coward or not, WHO CARES ! Hes dead thats all that matters. You'll be sticking up for Joseph Fritzl next saying he was misunderstood
As for his wife/daughter we'll never know the truth. The US will say Osama was cowering behind his wife, Al Quaeda will say Osama fought to the very last second against evil americans etc.
Harsh i know but i dont care for his wife either, shes brainwashed and thinks what hes doing is for the 'cause' and supports him and has kids with him. Dont care for her one bit.
"At least it was a quick death" ? Are you feeling sorry for Osama ? I'm sad that it was a quick death, I wanted them to tell the world they buried him at sea and then take him to a bunker and torture him for hours on end.
"At least it was a quick death" ? Are you feeling sorry for Osama ? I'm sad that it was a quick death, I wanted them to tell the world they buried him at sea and then take him to a bunker and torture him for hours on end.
well i don't think they should have tortured him.
but i do think that they would have wanted to interogate him, hence sending the SEAL team in rather than sending a drone.
I believe her more than the US-Version which changes every hour.
You're naive beyond belief.
Cowards also initiate an attack on the Twin Towers whilst holed up safely in a cave in Asia (or whatever) and continually get others to carry out terrorist attacks whilst (as I said before) holed up safely somewhere.
Whether his wife ran at the SEALS or stood in front of Bin Laden, he was
still quite willing to let her protect him, to me thats cowardice.
But at least it was a quick death.
Who cares? Quick or slow, makes no difference either is satisfactory.
911 victims are unarmed too, but attacking these targets, Osama knew that USA will call for revange, and attack him.
Of course but he was obviously delusional enough to think he could hide from them indefinitely.
So calling him a coward is denying the facts.
No, you are the one denying the facts. Bin Laden was the worlds No. 1 terrorist target who if not removed would have continued to carry out terrorist attacks all over the world indefinitely.
9/11 was not a one-off attack, with success comes greed for more success.
The USA did the right thing.
You're either for terrorism or against it, there's no middle ground.
Lets be honest, she's not likely to say "My father used my mother as a shield showing him to be the coward that he is in the hope that they would kill her whilst he protected himself"...
And by exactly the same token, the Americans aren't likely to say "Yeah, we stormed the place, got c**t in a headlock, and blew his motherlovin' brains out in front of his family". The winners of war write the history.
I personally wouldn't take either side's version of events as a frank and honest portrayal of the facts. The Americans have a rich history of making stuff up to suit themselves, for example the rescue of hostage Linda Norgrove, when it was initially claimed she was shot by her captors, but was later found to have been killed by a US grenade during the attempt.

i would so love obama to say that.
but they should at least tell us the line the SEAL said before he pulled the trigger.

And lets not forget the 'caught on camera' videos thanks to them. Worth having CCTV just so we can view some fat slappers being banged behind the pub.
Fixed!

All the current talk about Osama being unarmed...maybe someone could photoshop a C64 in his hand it would help people understand why he was shot.
and we stood up to the evil USA, and tried to fight them, but they were sneaky and wouldn't fight properly. just a bunch of terrorists.
Ever watch the Patriot right after Braveheart? Same movie different costumes.
yeah
i was half expecting king arthur to be the one to order jesus's crucifiction in the 'passion of the christ'

LOL - couldn't agree with you more, beanz
Like the US Airforce for example.
Not sure they have ever asked for any!
no organisation that has stealth bombers needs sympathy.
Osamas twelwe year old daughter said that her dad was captured and then executed, according to the Pakistanese "News".

sounds a bit fishy.
oh, and in the meantime obama's popularity has increased of 11%.
