I think I've only ever played the one version of Batman coin-op. And you're right, it had no depth to it. No variety, and boring linear gameplay.

I've always been found of Midnight Resistance too. The Speccy version makes great use of colour. Though I have to be honest and say I prefer the C64 version (okay, shoot me).

The arcade version I used to love too, but I can't play it these days using an emulator because of the gun-control.

I always liked Mr Wimpy and also think Rainbow Islands and also loved Batman the Movie too!

When Rainbow Island came out, it felt like such a pinnacle for Speccy arcade convo`s, what with the speed, music, playability and sheer amount of beautiful colour it felt arcade perfect... Midnight Resistance was ace on spectrum too, very cartoony graphics, but still beefy muscles and big guns... top notch.

What platform is Worst thing happen at see on... I never heard of it, and just searched archive so I guess not the good ol` Speccy?

I just downloaded Mr Wimpy, cos I thought I used to like it too, and it` a diff game, it`s not a platformer, and can`t figure out what to do, and it says in brackets (speech) on download page, and it won`t speak to me.. and and and... sniff... I want my money back

I think I mighta been thinkin` of Mr Wino :) (head off to download)...

edit - Mr Wino rocks better than a dad ata wedding, Iforgot how even I used to play this a lot, and then a diff game reminds.. :)
